Normally we get paid on the very last day of the month so it was very nice to discover when I checked my account this morning to find that we’d already been paid! So a shopping trip was of course inevitable today….do the words ‘money’ and ‘burn’ spring to mind?? 
Actually, I’m sitting here writing this, knowing full well that I’ll be taking a break in five minutes as it’s the second part of Doctor Who which was totally brilliant last week. The Daleks are back again and rampaging 1930′s New York. Doctor Who has forever been a favourite of mine. I grew up on it and when I was at college, it was the only programme that I and my friends watched in the three years we were there. It was a great Saturday tradition to meet up in the common room which had the only tv on the campus!
45 minute hiatus over…. 
Back to the shopping trip. I have another friend’s birthday coming up next month so I decided I just had to buy something today from John Lewis which never fails to inspire me. I went back to the Nougat section which I’ve mentioned in a previous post. They make sumptous body products and this time I went for the Sparkling Body Shimmer lotion in Fig and Pink Cedar. I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the fab packaging! In case this company is new to you, here’s a link to their website Nougat. I also bought myself some new sandals from Next and a couple of pieces of jewellery from there too. The weather continues to be beautiful …. apparently it’s been the warmest April in the UK for 300 years!

I am not a Dr Who fan.. the show terrifies me has done from a very young age.. the music would send me screaming from the room! even now it gives me shivers.
Its great how our weather has been.. just hope it continues through the rest of the summer months.

Oh, I love the scent of fig. It reminds me of a great Easter visit to my sister’s bed and breakfast in Arkansas in 2005. When I walked into my suite, a fig candle was burning.
You inspired me to look up my own balance, and much to my surprise, I have been paid, too. I think. It says “post credit” – which, I think, means postdated. Can’t get too excited, yet! We are off to lunch and a little daytrip, though. Have a wonderful rest of weekend. Hugs, Julia
