…as we’ve only been in a short while and I wanted to apologise to those of you who were unable to post on here because the spam word wasn’t showing on my new theme. I had got into the habit of making sure it was there until this new one when I forgot, duhhh! Anyway, I’ve reverted back to an old theme until I have it sorted.
Today we’ve been to the hospital to have Dave prepped up for his hernia operation next week. After a couple of hours there, we visited a few of Dave’s pubs, one of which is right by the Althorp estate, Princess Diana’s final resting place. Saw a small amount of flooding through Northamptonshire, but mostly this part of the country has so far been unaffected.
My thoughts are with all the thousands of people in Worcs and Gloucs who have lost so much and who now face no fresh water for at least two weeks. Today has been sunny, warm and DRY…..more please!!

Hi Niki! On holiday now? Hope you have a great vacation! How long are you off? We go back on August 29th. I have been seeing on the news all the flooding over there. Glad you and Sadie aren’t being affected. Hope Jackie isn’t either. Do you live near London? I’m not sure where Diana’s burial site is. And we are the opposite over here with not near enough rain! Its awful how its been in the flooded areas and glad you not effect by it.
We have had it dry today and like you want more and for it to stay that way..

We’ve been watching the flooding on TV every day; it looks pretty bad! I always feel for those poor people who have their lives disrupted and devastated. I’m sure it’s so interesting to travel like that with Dave. I remember seeing Diana’s island on TV all those years ago. Where did the time fly to? I’ll be wishing Dave well with his surgery! Oh, thanks for the input about the Shingles. I’m on Day Six today with no end in sight, but I didn’t call in as early as I should have because of the weekend. My doctor said something about no medals for bravery! I do hope I wake up in the morning to find it has vanished. Enjoy your well-deserved change of pace. I got my schedule today and was so relieved to see no naughty 14 or 15-year olds on it!
