Ok, here’s some facts about me:

Living very happily in the UK with my wonderful husband, Dave. We have six children between us. Dave has four sons and one daughter plus a grandson and granddaughter and I have one son, Tom, aged 25. We met too late in life to have our own children but we do have two dogs together! Travis, a springer spaniel and Charley, our little minx of a cocker spaniel.

I spend a large part of my life being teacher to Reception age children….4 – 5 year olds. I absolutely love my job and count myself the luckiest person on earth to get paid for doing something I love doing! I am also ICT and Art co-ordinator at school.

Both Dave and I have chronic illnesses. I have Crohn’s Disease (hence the name of this and my other sites, IBD being Inflammatory Bowel Disease) but am generally in goodish health. Dave is less lucky. He has end stage kidney disease and is now on dialysis. I was tested to see if I’m a match to give him a kidney but very sadly the answer was no due to being the wrong blood group

Apart from my job, I spend a lot of my time collecting and occasionally drawing graphics. I don’t get a great deal of time for this as being a teacher creates big demands on my time and I invariably bring work home with me. But I absolutely love learning new things on here and it’s been great working out how to use Word Press!
