and yet again

I’ve spent the weekend alone as Dave had to go into hospital on Friday with a suspected infection in the area where they put his tube in. At this point in time we have no idea when he’ll be allowed to come home or whether he’ll keep this tube. He remains cheerful despite this (well on the phone he is anyway). I’ll be so glad when this is all over and he’s back on the dialysis with a stable tube.

I’ve stayed in all weekend as I’m still trying to shake off what must now be a chest infection. I’ve put off going to the doctor as in the past I’ve been, only to discover that what I’ve thought is an infection, isn’t. But this time it’s gone on too long and I’m not sure how I’m going to cope at work with a cough that leaves me breathless and totally blocked up ears! So I go early on Tuesday morning. Oh I sound full of the joys of spring. It will be lovely when health matters are very low on our agenda.

I had a lovely week at school, the children were so pleased to see me back and they were absolutely gorgeous. Tomorrow they’ll be enjoying using the home corner which has now been converted from a baby clinic to a vet’s! After half term we’ll be doing a topic on People Who Help Us and we’re planning to visit the fire station, the police station and the library. Great fun!

  2. ‘the people who help us’ sounds like a fabulous thing to do for the Littles. :)

I hope you’ve had some good new about Dave by now. I can’t believe how much bad luck he’s had already this year. I hope things get better from now on. and with you too. I am the same, and always put off going to the drs, but you really do sound like you need to be seen. Hopefully you can get some antibiotics or something to shift whatever it is that’s hanging around.

Not speaking to The Girl at the moment. She’s just walloped me in the eyeball with a shoe, and I’m not entirely convinced it was accidental!!! :em43: :em42: :em35:

speak to you soon. ooh, check the link I sent, I added an extra one to the page! :) xxxxx
