Sunshine all day so far 
…and it’s forecast for the next week too just cuz it’s back to work time! Oh well, we need good weather once we get back to school anyway, nothing worse than wet playtimes and we’ll be able to get the curriculum outdoors much more too. Yesterday was also a lovely day and we took full advantage by taking the dogs to the beach. My favourite beach on the Norfolk coast – about 25 miles from where I live and somewhere which has very fond memories for me. When Tom was small, we used to go there every weekend and for weeks during the summer too. Beaches around there are very duney and also very quiet so we had our own special place where we’d spend our days. The best thing about it was it’s safeness. I could sunbathe contentedly while Tom pottered around in the sand and the shallow lagoon close by. Yesterday, everything was still the same apart from some erosion of the sand dunes. Instead of it being Tom playing though, it was the two dogs who had a whale of a time diving in and out of the water. Just one thing. Why do dogs always have to come and stand right by you when they decide to shake off their wetness?! We stayed until quite late enjoying the peace and the warmth of the sun…….

Today is really our last day of rest as tomorrow we’re working. Dave works for a local brewery and occasionally he attends country fairs and advertises and sells one of his beers. I sometimes go along to help. I quite enjoy it if the weather is good, you can meet lots of interesting people plus the show itself often has some great craft and food stalls 
. The only thing we don’t like is the fact we can’t take the dogs along in the van we have to travel in. And there’s always masses of dogs at the fairs so we end up missing them hugely!

Oh, that sounds like a perfect day – beach, sun, and dogs. You know, I never really thought of the fact that they wait to they’re next to you before they start to shake off the water, but they do. They’re sharing, aren’t they? About Marcia Tate, her stuff is definitely good for kindergarten. Her background is in elementary to begin with, and she says we all need to use kindergarten techniques because those are the ones that work. I know they have her books on the Internet. Of course, seeing her in person brings them to life, but if you really read her stuff, you’ll get it. I had already been exposed to her material in the form of redelivery, and of course, it’s not ALL new, but I do think she’s onto so much truth, and much of it is unique. I especially like the ways she teaches for long-term memory. It’s well worth the investment. They gave us her original book and the Language Arts one, so I have plenty to dig through.
You are lucky to live close to the sea. It is so nice when the weather is like it is at the moment! Nice too that you can find a quiet spot with not too many people about. It’s back at work for me too. I do hope the weather holds, it does make it easier getting up in the morning.

We are a bunch of beach bums over here in NJ LOL We usually head out to Long Beach in NY or take a three hour drive once in a while to Montauk, NY.
One of my favorite places is Provincetown in Cape Cod, MA. I went there last year with my daughter and the whale watching was just SPECTACULAR!!!
