Yawn, yawn, yawn, the kids are doing my head in and I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about what a tough year this has been. So many children with behaviour issues which I’ve had to deal with on a daily basis……it takes it’s toll
I’ve tried to stay calm and sympathetic throughout as with the most severe cases, the fault lies with the children’s upbringing and not them. However I also have a good few other children who are just plain spoilt and who cannot cope with being told what to do or being told off. I’m sorry to say that this is becoming an ever increasing problem. At one time behaviour problems were mostly confined to the older children but these days we’re getting more and more 3, 4 and 5 year old’s who want their own way…..and get it. We witness some ridiculous parenting! Hard to believe but I often get mums say to me, ‘Oh I wanted him to wear his coat today but he wouldn’t’ or ‘I told her not to wear those shoes for school but she took no notice of me’ This is 4 year olds I’m talking about!! Aggghhhh, I despair!
Well I have a lovely weekend in prospect to enable me to forget my job
Tomorrow coffee in town with friends and family. In the afternoon I have an opticians appointment as during the week my glasses snapped in half. I’ve been wearing a pair I bought last year which were intended to be a fashion accessory rather than a necessity so they aren’t varifocals which I need these days. It’s been difficult trying to do close work so I’m anxious to get a new pair which will probably cost me about £400, yikes!
On Sunday I want to catch the end of the Debenhams sale and also buy presents for all the people who’ve helped me throughout the year at school. I won’t mind going back to work Monday as I know I’m nearly there!!!

Omgosh at the kids.. hugs for dealing with them as you have too.
I don’t get how some can’t seem to have control over the young ones.. to many options I suppose..
Whooo on a lovely weekend to make up for it.. I badly need varifocals.. but way out of my price range at the moment.. spend more time peering over my glasses than looking through them.. specially with the knitting.. but I manage some how.
Good luck with your final week
Hugs Pixie
Hello my friend !
Good luck for your last week at school, I hope it won’t be too emotional. (though I’m sure it will)
Oh, I know too much that lots of people don’t know how to raise their children properly & let them be the leader, even at the early age of 3 or 4 or 5. Children need to have limits, need to be show what it right & what isn’t, and so on …
Chris & I managed to squeeze a lunch at the restaurant with some of his “best colleagues/work friends” (I appreciate them a lot) & then we went shopping for shirts (for him, for work) & a new suit (Hugo Boss, mind you) all in sale (hopefully !!!!) LOL
Have to go now, I’m sending you my sweetest hugs !!
OXOXOXOX
crikey, I hope I can bring humbug up to be a nice, happy, but not too spoilt little girl.
She’s quite headstrong already, I can see quite easily how in the future I can tell her not
to do something, and then see her go off and do it anyway!
I’ve not been to the Debs sale. Had a quick look at bags last week, but nothing caught my eye.
Other than that, I didn’t bother to look. I’m not really a sale shopper, unless there is something I really want and I hope that it has been reduced. Like the purple fake fur stole I bought from Debs a few years ago. It started off at £50, but I held back from buying it. At the end of the Jan sale it was less than a tenner! I snapped it up!
Hi Nikki! It is almost over! you can do it! I understand what you mean about the behavior problems. I am in 3rd and 4th grade and it has been tough some years. It is hard to believe that parents let the kids get away with some of the things they do. We have had a few every year that can go crying to mommy or daddy and they make it all ok for them! How are they going to cope when they are an adult? Anyway I hope you can get to the finish line! I only have 4 more days til I’m done at Walmart. Then I will be off til Aug. 29th. when school starts again. I am so looking forward to being off! Do you live near Sadie? I saw on a map where she lives down to the south. You have a good weekend and good luck on your new glasses! I know they are horrible to have to pay for! Hugs
Sorry it’s been such a hard teaching year, I hope it’ll be better next year. Happy last week. I hope you’ll get new glasses soon. Enjoy the weekend, hugs
Hi, Nikki! I’m back from my trip, and it was everything that’s wonderful. I so empathize with this post – ridiculous parenting is definitely on the rise! I didn’t realize it started with your level, but of course, it must, because it starts with the parents. They expect us to do things with them that they cannot – like study. Sorry about the glasses. I need a new pair myself but am hoping to make it until next month because of the trip and a tooth I have to have recrowned Monday. I don’t think it would have cracked if it had fit properly, but what can you do? That will be at least $550 in spite of dental insurance. At least glasses are cute. Well, I hope you can relax into a really nice weekend, and it sounds like you will. Big hugs, Julia
Hi Nikki Your beer festival exploits last Sunday sounded exhausting but fun. Sorry that you both suffered a bit from it though. Yes you’re on the home stretch now, nearly the Summer holidays. Gosh what a price Varifocals are, I had no idea. I only wear glasses for driving but I have noticed the writing on tins and jars seems to be getting smaller nowadays so I might have to go that route myself before long
Hope you find some nice things in the Sale at Debenhams. Holly wanted us to go yesterday but she’d dragged me all round town already so I refused to go. Lots of love xxxx
hello. Well, the fake eviction. I’ve got a theory of my own about that. I think that they were calling it ‘fake’ but I bet if Nikki had been the one evicted the fake part would have been fake to the public but real for them, saying that the joke was on us and it wasn’t fake at all. By touting it as fake all week, they were able to keep the person they want to keep in as she kicks up so much drama. I bet, bet, bet I am right. She said it herself at one stage, she said something like ‘they love me and didn’t want me to go’ or something along those lines. I am fed up with it. She is entertaining, I give you that, but her utter rudeness and nastiness makes me angry. I’m not a Chanelle fan (can’t spell it properly for a start!) but I thought Charley was being a cow just for the sake of it when she stood there saying Chanelle looked nothing like Victoria Beckham. She went on and on about how she’d met VB and how totally different they looked. She was being a first class cow just because she wanted to start up a row. I missed it last night, couldn’t stay up for it , but can’t wait to see it tonight. Gerry V Nikki. Nikki to go. Such a misery and that whiney old voice of hers!!!! Urggh!! GET HER OUT!!!
xxxxx
p.s when do you break up? Think it’s Friday for the kids here.

Hi Nikki! Oh now! I’m sorry the kids & their parents are giving you a hard time! It’s true…there’s a lot of bad parenting out there. People just don’t know how to discipline their children anymore. You need a mini vacation for some pampering time!
Have a nice week sweetie! Hugs!
