OK, half smiling here but it occurred to me this afternoon that my life is so unfair!! (And all working women come to that!). I spend my week during term time working my socks off (if I wore them!), bringing stuff home with me to work on every night (one of the perks of being a teacher). Then when I do get a week off, I often spend it catching up with the housework that didn’t get done when I was working. I don’t mean the usual general hoover and dust that has to be done regularly anyway, but the more in depth spring clean. This is what I’ve spent today doing, yuk, I hate getting dirty and dusty but I just had to tackle the kitchen cupboards and pantry! A wheelie bin full of out of date packets and tins, old china which I’ve hung onto out of sentimentality, about a hundred Tesco carrier bags later…….. Everything has gone through the dishwasher too so I’m quite satisfied with what I’ve achieved BUT it’s hardly the restful time I’d planned!
Yesterday was better and I guess I had to have a day like today to make up for all the spending I did! A trip to Debenhams always results in a big spend as their designer range is FAB! They’ve managed to commission so many amazing fashion designers, my particular favourites being Betty Jackson, Matthew Williamson and FrostFrench. Normally they would be totally out of my price range but this makes them totally affordable. Anyway I bought a gorgeous tunic/dress (being only 5ft I can wear it as a dress). Here’s a pic of both…the bag is actually a chocolate brown but I’m going to lose the charms as they’re just soooooooo last season, darling

Ooooooh cuteness !!!! What a gorgeous bag & a gorgeous tunique !! I’m as short as you, I guess, so I get the point ! LOL
You really deserved that, after such a deep spring cleaning !! But don’t you think you feel so satisfied of your work, afterwards ? I do think.
Have to go now, I’m so sorry, but wanted absolutely to stop to leave you a bunch of Valentine’s hugs & kisses !! OXOXOXO Love you !!
Oh, beautiful things! I can so relate to what you write about holidays. I’m on day five of one right now – our Mardi Gras and Ash Wednesday holiday. The first half of it was spent visiting kids; the second trying to create order out of chaos. All I can say is, I made a dent in the latter, but there’s plenty left where that came from.
