developed a bit of a crush…..

……on Billy Bags. Rest assured they really are bags, not a person! I saw my first in John Lewis several weeks back, a pumpkin coloured soft velvet thing with pockets and zips all over it. Beyond my reach financially, I resolved to find one on eBay….well two actually  The first is made from chocolate felt with a red suede lining and is my current, the second I used for a few weeks while the season was still called ‘summer’. Both were brand new and about a third of what they’d have cost me on the high street.

The class continue to improve, although the times when I can relax remain few and far between. Give ‘em an inch as the saying goes! Hard to imagine of 4 year olds, I know. Lack of respect stems from a home where education is totally undervalued, so it’s my job to turn that around and show parents that school is great…..the kids usually follow suit. Conversely it works the other way round too

Here’s a photo showing our class rules:

  1. You never fail to amaze me with your creativity. I know your kids love you for that if nothing else. I’m sure they will get a great kick out of the Billy Bags if and when you take them to school. I know I did.

My niece and I are experiencing drama this weekend. I am finally going honest on my blog – at least for today. My AH BIL has moved a woman into his house less than a week after the funeral!!!!!! Can you believe it? We haven’t told the male members yet, as they can tolerate very little in the drama department, although DB Jim witnessed some last Monday before flying West – fighting renters of the worst kind.

  5. Love your classroom rules! About your trip to Italy, you and Dave sure know what’s the best! And Siena is a very charming city. Little but kinda cute, I must say. I’ve been there just once a looong time ago, but did like it a lot. If you want to relax, you may also go Ischia and go to a SPA center (centro termale). I tried to find a link with content in English, but no luck yet. One of my parents’ neighbors has been there last year in June, after he had heart surgery (sorry, dunno how to translate it). He had both the chance to visit nice places and relax. I will ask him if he still remember the name of the SPA and will let you know, ok? Just in case… i must admit I don’t like SPA very much. Good night Nikki. Sweet dreams.
