Dave had to be at work by 6am this morning to go to London so the alarm went off at 4.45am….yikes!! Me being such a night owl, it felt like the middle of the night to me! And no matter how hard I tried, I could not get back to sleep. Hmmmm, early night for us , methinks.
Great day at school, the kids have been amazing. I started teaching them about money today for the first time. Ideally I’d like the majority of them to be able to recognise all coins by the end of the week. Normally this really wouldn’t be achievable but with this little lot I have high hopes. Tomorrow we play shops just with 1p’s, great fun!
Sitting here chilling out to a compilation of Marvin Gaye’s music which I recently bought. And what great chill out music it is, too! It’s now nearly 7pm and Dave is still on his way home…what a long day for him, bless him!

Oh, funny, you are probably asleep by now. Sometimes I forget about the time difference, which I think must be 7 between you and Central. So wonderful you had a good day. This was my first one back, and it was a good day. The kids have spring fever, but I didn’t fight it, and we had fun with some Nancie Atwell writing things. Did I tell you my new dil is in early childhood ed? Wish she could watch what you’re doing, but tis not to be. Oh, and thanks for the nice remarks on Fauna. It is so much cheaper than decorating and easier than moving furniture – maybe!

I am not familiar with Mabel Atwell, but if you like her, I probably will, too! Nancie Atwell is not easy to capsule, so I’ll get back atya on that one. I am very much an advocate and as much as possible a practitioner. My dil is only 19
