I managed to persuade Dave to take me to see the new Harry Potter film yesterday. It was superb and definitely the best so far. It’s about three years since I read it but it all came back to me. Indeed, it’s actually helped remind me of certain things which I’d forgotten which are integral to the new one which I’m nearly halfway through. So my mind is very HP’ish at the moment! I never cease to be amazed and in awe of JKR’s fabulous imagination!
Before the film started we were shown a series of trailers, one of which is a definite must. Atonement, which has a wonderful cast including James McAvoy, who was so brilliant in The Last King of Scotland and Keira Knightley, a beautiful Elizabeth Bennett in yummy Pride and Prejudice (directed by Joe Wright who also directs this new film). It looks like a heartbreaking story line!
Then last night I watched for the first time, The Da Vinci Code. Never having read it I was unsure what to expect, after all the hype, but ended up really enjoying it. Fascinating and exciting!
We’re promised a few days of sun at last. The weathermen are saying that our real summer will start on August 15th. Hmmm, I wonder how they can be so precise? Watch this space!
The Atonement film seems very good, it’s one I will watch. We watched Breaking and Entering with Jude Law and Juliette Binoche recently. And I really enjoyed it.
I still haven’t got the Edit plugin sorted. I can edit the name but not the Comment itself. I don’t know why. But I have spent enough time on it!
I thought the HP film was brilliant and now I am reading the book.. first time of doing this watching a film first then reading it..
I know naughty of me not having read them all.. but I am enjoying it this way taking my time lol..

I read the Da Vinci Code and loved the book.. was nothing like I expected and looking forward to seeing the film.
I hope this means summer is on it way.. its warm and sunny here right now.

Hi Nikki, I haven’t seen the 3rd and 4th HP movies. I want to read the books first, I’ve got number 4-7 to read. I’m anxious to read them because I’m dying to know the end. I read and saw the Da Vinci Code, I preferred the book. I think summer is late this year, after a rainy July we finally are getting a week of sunshine. Have a nice week ahead. *hugs*
