My goodness what a difference a few sunny days make! We’ve been experiencing very spring like weather the last few days. Sharp frosts in the morning, melting away as the sun comes up and warms up the land. The colder climes suits me fine so long as we get some sun to cheer us all up! I actually put out two lines of washing this morning which felt like a lovely thing to do…ended up taking it in mid-afternoon as it had barely dried, but I didn’t mind that at all
It’s been spring cleaning for me on my first day of half term. I’m determined to get lots done this week even though I loathe the job. It’s a lovely, satisfying feeling when it’s all done and dusted though
Last night I settled down to watch the BAFTA ceremony which is the UK version of the Oscars. I love looking at all the stars and seeing what the women are wearing. I also enjoy watching all the excerpts from the nominated films. I was thrilled to see Atonement getting best film as up until then it hadn’t own any major awards. Keira Knightley lost out to Marion Cotillard for best actress but I have to say that it was thoroughly deserved and from what I saw of her film La Vie en Rose where she plays Edith Piaf, her performance looks astonishing. I was amazed to see how beautiful Marion is in real life compared to how she looks made up as Edith Piaf.
I was disappointed that the delicious James McAvoy lost out to Daniel Day Lewis for best actor as, much as I love and appreciate DDL’s work, I’m sure he could have spared one award
What an amazing actor he is, awards for every piece of work he’s ever done! Having said that though, I’m sure JM will go from strength to strength and it won’t be long before we see him winning one of the major awards.

(any excuse for a bit of eye candy!)
Lastly, I saw this picture on the net of what The Telegraph thought were the two best dressed women (Georgina Chapman (left) and Jessica Biel (centre) ) and then the worst dressed woman (Keira Knightley). I totally disagree as I thought she looked gorgeous and I loved her dress, so there!

Hi Nikki…doesn’t the warmer weather just make you feel so good! We had a bit of that last week, but the kids were sick, so we didn’t get to enjoy it…now it’s lucky if it’s 17* right now, with a windchill factor of BELOW ZERO! Yikes! Enjoy your nice weather! Lotsa hugs!
Yeah the right theme is showing for me

Have a great middle of the week, my friend. OXOXOXO Big hugs
The weather is gorgeous isn’t it, I’ve done nothing so far this week lol.
Still seeing my man
How is Dave? Do you hear anything off Nova or Barb? Have you got their emails? I’d like to see how they are.
Doing anything tomorrow, valentines day? Sian and I are going shopping to Notts since her bf is in Australia for 3 weeks playing cricket with the school, bless her, she really misses him.

Hi Nikki, Doesn’t it make everything seem easier when the sun comes out, I know it does for me. A few things went wrong for me today, but I didn’t mind at all, because the sun was shining brightly and even though it was still a little cold if felt like spring. I agree with the choices for best dressed, they look beautiful. Kieira is lovely but I don’t like the dress, although I’m sure it was not the worst. *hugs*
