What a difference it makes! The last two days have been wonderful and yesterday, particularly, the air was filled with the sound and smell of grass being cut! The fact that the first really lovely day coincided with bank holiday Good Friday must have been manna from heaven for all the garden centres in England
Today we went to Cambridge for the day, always an enjoyable experience. I’m sure that each time we go there are new shops opened. Our first port of call is always one of my favourite shops… Borders which has a Starbucks on the top floor. Primo latte and blueberry cheesecake…just what the doctor ordered! Then on to the market which, as always, had lots of temptations for us. I succumbed to a beautiful summer canvas bag on a stall which has a website www.thequintessential.co.uk My bag can be found under ‘day bags/riviera’ – bottom left in natural colour. I’m thrilled to bits with it. Then I found the most wonderful new gift shop stuffed full with Cath Kidston items! Sheer bliss, Dave had to drag me out! The website is www.arkcambridge.co.uk but they don’t have anything on there yet apart from photos of their shops under ‘contact us’.
We both felt heaps better after spending money…only two more days left before I go back to work but after today I feel a lot more ready for it
Oh and one more thing I have to share – my latest custom made by Sonia. I just love her! I’m a bit of a Barbie girl even though I couldn’t look less like her, lol. I manage to satisfy my urge to buy new Barbies by ‘buying for the classroom’. And of course to keep the boys happy I have to buy Action Man too!

Hello Nikki !

Uuuuuughhhh … do you really want to make me cry or what ?!… Starbucks + handbag + Cath Kidston in a single day ???! Couldn’t you phone me, I’d have joined you !! Don’t you know I love spending money on that kind of things toooo ????!
Seriously … I love Starbucks, I love handbags & I ADORE Cath Kidston !!!
Btw, I’m still so happy you liked the last Barbie Minime … so cute, isn’t she ?
OK, gotta go now. Paul eyes are 100% OK now, but Umberto is teething now …
Have a fantastic Easter sweetie. Take good care & happy last day of vacation. OXOXOXOXOX
Oh, I want to rewind your day and be there with you. Cambridge, shopping, Starbucks, and a beautiful British spring day. How lovely. I’m so glad you’re ending your vacation this way. You deserve it after being so sick. Well, I wasn’t expecting Barbie – what a great idea for a Minime. I bookmarked the two sites in my del.icio.us links so I can go back and drool. Did I mention being an Anglophile? (Guess that seems silly to you lol.) Oh, and I’m going to install that edit comments plugin this week. I had it before, and it really worked. A bit tricky, though, and I deleted it when I changed themes, of course. I’m rambling, aren’t I? You would NOT like Mulholland Drive if you couldn’t take Twin Peaks! I play to rent the whole TP series one of these days and just marathon it. Hugs and here’s to a wonderful Easter for us all.
Wow what a great day for you and pouts at you getting that lovely weather and we not!…. hopefully we will get it at some point
Enjoy the rest of your Easter
Hugs Pixie
