Last night I made the discovery that if I have my phone off the hook, my broadband connection stays on, the second I put the phone back on the receiver off the light goes, go figure?! But after a week of patience testing frustration where I could be online for all of 30 seconds before it crashed again, the engaged phone line is something I can cope with for the sake of being able to do what I need to do!
Anyway, yesterday was my beloved man’s birthday and as we’d decided not to exchange b’day pressies this year, I offered him lunch at his favourite restaurant, an afternoon of shopping and a cosy night in. Luckily he very happily said yes! So yesterday we went to Peterborough where I got all my Christmas cards and wrapping paper from ever trusty John Lewis who just happen to have the same taste as me in all those sorts of thing 
Choosing cards, wrapping paper and ribbon is probably my favourite part of Christmas shopping! Couldn’t resist buying this wobbly Father Christmas as well!
I also bought the last of the presents for people at work and some bits and pieces for the children’s christmas cards they’re making, plus an advent calendar for the classroom. Now I just have Tom and my Mum to buy for and luckily I know what I’m getting. After a couple of hours of shopping we went to Prezzo’s and had a scrumptious lunch. I had Linguine con salsiccia piccante (spicy italian sausage cooked with roasted peppers and mushrooms in tomato sauce) and Dave had a baked pasta dish containing chicken, spicy sausage, cream and cheese. It was all delicious and really quite reasonable in price.
Today, after a long lie in and then a quick dash round with the hoover and duster, we went to my Mum’s for lunch. My brother (Neil) and his girlfriend (Angie) came over as well and we celebrated mum’s, Dave’s and Angie’s birthday all together. Their birthdays are spread over just 4 days. In fact as we sat at the table we commented on how four of us are Sagittarian and then my brother is Leo (which is happily compatible with Sag!). We had another delicious lunch, thanks mum!

How odd on your internet connection.. brings back memories of dial up, only in reverse lol
We want a John Lewis, was talking about that today when my parents were over.. we have a new or rather re vamped shopping center.. there is talk about us getting one.. but still waiting on it happening.
I am hoping tomorrow.. (depends on weather) to go to town and get the little bits I need.

I meant to answer your Q the other day, but forgot until afterwards. Is a gingerbread latte sweet. I would say no. It’s more spicy than sweet. You know the smell of Yankee candles, the autumn spice ones, like pumpkin pie or trick or treat, that sort of thing? That’s what it tastes like! Only gingery. Does that make sense? It’s really hard to explain, but it is so yummy an d after just two, I am addicted. I bought the large one today, and enjoyed it pushing humbug along and dodging people and raindrops. I didn’t have any whipped cream on top this time, as I thought it would be too tricky to drink in transit!
Do try it though, I have a feeling you’d like it. And no, I never add any sugar or sweetener to my lattes or caramel macchiatos, especially the macchiato, with that caramel gloop on top it must have fourty billion trillion calories in it already!
ooh, the watch turned up this afternoon. I opened it to take a look (an a photo) and then resealed it! ha ha ha. Bought a new bag in Primark, it’s a pale gold, very pretty, and just six quid. Will show piccies tomorrow.

morning! I think it might have been your connection, but flckr is a pain sometimes. If I lose my connection I have to laugh, because they put up some writing saying ‘NO SUCH PHOTOS’!
Just been shopping. Nightmare, the supermarkets are getting busier already. Lots of idiot people just standing around clogging up the aisles and talking on mobiles. Wouldn’t mind, but they’re always bellowing things like ‘it’s buy one get one free, should I get?’! I mean, please! For the Love of God, it’s not brain surgery is it!!!
Hope you are having a lovely time with your boy. Shame he’s away again later. Does he live very far away from you?
