happy days

Had a lovely day with my gorgeous son yesterday. We had numerous stops for coffee and beer which gave us time to have a good chat. Although we speak on the phone every couple of days or so it’s not quite the same as seeing him face to face and being able to give him a hug! Of course it went far too quickly and before I knew it he was on the train and I was waving him off from the platform :( That’s the only problem…after seeing him I’m upset because he’s had to go.

Today has been another sunny and warm day and Dave and I have spent most of it in the garden. After much ummming and ahhhing I’m at last doing some knitting that I’ve been planning to do for about 4 months! Some time ago I was lucky enough to get an egg cosy from Little Cotton Rabbits. These are nigh on impossible to buy now as they’re so popular that they get snapped up within seconds of going online. So I thought I’d have a go myself. This is the first thing I’ve knitted for about 20 years and it’s been quite tricky especially as I wanted to do a lot of it in the round on four needles. I’m about 3/4 of the way through completing it and if it’s not too embarrassing a result, I’ll put a photo on here. Below is a photo of the original, which is just perfect! Mine is going to be a bunny complete with body and legs (hopefully!).

Took another pic this afternoon of a very accommodating Red Admiral which stretched out it’s wings for me as I got closer(what about the blue of that sky!!) :) plus another of our buddleias with sunbeams shining through.

I’m sure you can knit a little bunny the same as that one Nikki. I couldn’t, mine would be rubbish! :em26:

I’m glad you had a nice day yesterday. thanks for the email :em33:
I have now replied. It takes me a bit of time to get round to replying sometimes! I had to switch off the computer to watch BB on the couch and then BB. About 20 minutes in, I thought I’d have a snooze during the break, but what happened? That’s right, I fell asleep for 40 and woke up as it finished! :em30:

Can’t believe it’s the last week. I’ve enjoyed it so much this year, probably because with the exception of vile Charley and Vile Shebang or whatever it was called, they have been mostly sweet innocents, and made it pleasant viewing. Ziggy I would not trust one jot,but I liked him more once Chanelle had gone, he just seemed more fun and likeable. Carole is also Vile, but has had her moments when I’ve liked her.Tracey irritated me recently with her attitude to Gerry, which I did not get at all. I feel sorry for Jonty, he must go through life trying to say the right thing and please people, but he seriously needs to get rid of the animals! Still want Bri to win, Liam is a bit of a sly thing at times, and not in a good way. That said, he’s is a reasonable bloke and I don’t mind him. (don’t fancy him though, can’t understand that at all) and the twinnies are so sweet.

Ok. that’s me done. Have a great evening. lots of love to you xxxx

:em70: talk fashion any time. I love it! The other week my postie asked me why I had Country Living magazine delivered when I don’t live in the country (decided against pointing out we were not exactly far from countryside!!! I’m always moaning at him for not delivering it earlier!!), so I said to him ‘I have Vogue too, but I don’t dress in couture!’ which may or may not have been lost on him. If it is, it won’t be for long as he has three daughters, so he’ll soon have his eldest (12) going on about designer names!

Just signed up for the Fashion Confidential site, am hoping, hoping, hoping that I win the Birkin! :em22: fingers crossed.

glad you enjoyed the email! Did you look at the site?!!!!!!!!!!! :em68: :em68: :em68: :em68:
