It’s an expected and common observation that people make at this time of year “I just don’t know where the year has gone”. BUT, when you hear younger people saying it, it becomes scary! I was always told that time goes faster when you get older but now I’m wondering. I suppose the life we all lead nowadays contributes to the feeling of time flying. Many people …and children too….have every minute of their day occupied with something or other. How many of us get a chance to just sit and contemplate life…or for that matter, get bored?! We no longer allow our children to get bored, if we do we feel guilty, but maybe they need to learn that it’s ok to do nothing sometimes!
New Year celebrations are being affected by the weather here. Many parties have been cancelled because of high winds, particularly in the north. The big Edinburgh Hogmanay is still going ahead though, it just wouldn’t be New Year without it! I wish all of you visit here from time to time a very happy, healthy and meaningful 2007!

Happy New Year to you too, sweet friend !! *Ü*
May it bring you & your loved ones a max of good things & a minimum of bad ones. Health is on the top of things I wish you, of course.
I’m so happy we made our friendship grow in 2006 & really look forward to being your friend in 2007 !
Big hugs to you all !! OXOXO
PS : you are 100% right about kids having no time to get bored, Paul is completely lost when he doesn’t have something particularly to do, and he isn’t involved in anything outside home !! Poor little soul ! I’d love him to enjoy laziness a bit !! LOL
Happy New Year to you, Nikki. May it bring you all that you wish for but especially good health and happiness to you and David.
Was a shame that so many things had to be canceled last night.. better to be safe than sorry..
I hope you and Dave have a great new year, one that brings all you need

Happy New Year, Nikki. I hope your year is a good one. That is so true about time speeding up for everyone. I really hadn’t thought of it in terms of the young, but it is so true. Today we detoured from the “Interstate” to take the still familiar to me backroads, but I wondered how many twentysomethings would ever see these things just a mile or two off the faster pace of the four lane. Best of everything for you and yours in 2007!
Happy New Year Nikki, I wish you both a wonderful & healthy year. Big hugs
