So I thought I’d create an Easter theme today. I’ve used Artie’s trusty 3 column template and a wonderful header graphic from Ollie at CountryPatchCollections…I so love her work. The backgrounds and everything else I did myself, not sure whether I’m happy with it all yet. I’m very hard on myself!
It’s been an eventful couple of days as yesterday Dave came down with some sort of tummy bug. At least that’s what we think it was. In coincided with his 8 weekly visit to the kidney specialist. The doctor was quite concerned about him and said that the chances were that it was a bug but to be very careful as dehydration is particularly dangerous with someone who’s kidneys no longer work. So he sent him away with orders to drink as much fluid as possible and that if he was unable to keep it down to get himself admitted to hospital straightaway. So as soon as we got home I was pouring water down him and he went to bed. He was out like a light and slept for about 12 hours solid. Thankfully this morning he felt much better, after passing the bug onto me 
but then I’m used to having tummy problems!
Only another four days of holiday and then it’s back to work. I feel like I need another week off having been ill for so much of it…NOT FAIR!! At least I’ve had plenty of rest though, so it could have been a lot worse.

Oh, I’m really sorry about Dave tummy problem, it’s great that he felt better today. But not so nice that you are the one with the bug now. I’m sorry, sweetie. I hope everything will come back to normal quickly.

I am sorry to read that you are not well, I hope you feel better soon! And I agree Time does fly when you are on holiday! I have coursework to mark next week so that should take care of some of my afternoons!

Hi, Nikki, so sorry to hear Dave’s been sick, and now you, too. You’ll probably be ready to get back to work after all this. I love your Easter theme. You have a wonderful color sense, and it’s so much fun to see what you’ve been up that way. We had a consultant all day yesterday, a talented lady but a drill sargent, so I was extra happy to see 2:30 come. As you said, I’m sitting here not quite sure where to start, but it’s a good feeling! Happy Easter!

I’m sorry you haven’t been feeling well…no fair to be sick when you’re on vacation. 
I’m glad Dave is feeling better. My mom was diagnosed last year with kidney failure. Is Dave on dialysis? The dr. told my mom she would have to begin dialysis sometime this year. Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy the rest of your time off! Big hugs!

I just read your About Me and see Dave is scheduled for dialysis in the future…probably around the same time as my mom.
Your pups are adorable! I love spaniels. My parents had a spaniel when I was born…named Princess. My mom said she would lay by my baby carriage and stand guard…she wouldn’t let strangers get close to me. lol Now that’s dedication! Big hugs!
