Yikes, two weeks since I last posted, where has the time gone?? Well actually I know where the time has gone……spent doing soooooo much, no wonder it’s gone so quickly! Last week was spent making Christmas cards and practising for the school play, then this week we’ve been watching the other year group’s plays and performing our own along with making numerous little Christmassy things such as star biscuits and little angels to hang on the tree. I love all those aspects of school at this time of year. What I don’t enjoy much are the endless rehearsals and constant practising of carols, I get sick of it and so do the kids!
Anyway our Nativity play went very smoothly and was adored by all who watched it. The great thing about Reception’s version is that as far as the parents are concerned, the more things that go wrong the better! The staff are all desperate for everything to go well and for everyone to remember their lines but in actual fact if Lucy says her lines in the wrong place, or if Jack’s headdress falls over his face just as he’s about to say his words the parents will love it all the more! The children sang their little hearts out …. no mean feat when you consider they had 8 songs to learn.
I’d love to be able to show some photos of the production but it’s more than my job’s worth. Sadly, even the parents aren’t allowed to take photos or videos any more. I do have photos of our cards, party hats and calendars though and also my tree in the classroom (as I’m not having one at home this year it’s extra special).
On Wednesday we had our Christmas lunch. We do Secret Santa and I was buying for a friend who loves pink……I found a fab cookie jar in the shape of a pink iced cupcake and had great fun wrapping it. She loved it! My present was a brilliant new word/brain training game for my Nintendo DS.
Three more days at school and then it’s two weeks off. I’m looking forward to some time to get our Christmas going…….I’ve always said that my Christmas doesn’t start until term ends (and that often coincides with my birthday which is quite nice). I’ve not had time to write any cards yet or wrap any presents so a busy weekend lies ahead. Oh and then there’s all the washing and housework. Ahhhh but just another week and we’ll be down in Dorset again

oh for the love of god. My comment has vanished.
Oh I love this theme.. haven’t gotten my mind around doing a Christmas one this year!
Love the photos and I love this cold snap.. .long may it last, far better than the wind and rain of the past weeks.
I don’t do stress over Christmas.. it all sails past me.. its going to happen no matter what lol.
Don’t envy you the busy weekend.. on top of housework not a good combination..
Find time to relax
Hugs Pixie
PS a tip to Sadie, copy and paste before sending.. then try again
I love the photos, it’s so pretty! It’s so funny how parents enjoy things going wrong. I guess it makes it a bit easier for you. I hope your weekend is starting well, hugs

ok. looks like things are ok. Thanks for that Pixie, but I can’t actually copy & paste, I’ve tried it before and the scripts won’t let me. I don’t have time to pre write in notepad or word and then copy and paste either, as I’d never get round to leaving a comment – often get called away!
In the Lost Comment, I said that I loved the cards! I think they have turned out really well, and your tiddlers must be so pleased
love the tree, looks gorgeous.
And, I understand why parents aren’t allowed to take piccies, but isn’t it a shame we have to be so super protective nowadays?
I agree, Friday and Saturday night tv is utter rot. I’ve just spent the afternoon watching Bridget Jones: The edge of Reason. Well, kind of watching it, saw most of it, had to pause for bathtime, then watch the rest in between drawing with little on. She bellows ‘ta’, points to the shelves in the kitchen (where I wrongly thought I’d hidden the crayon) and I have to draw, hand over the crayon, then watch as she scribbles over my artwork!
bless!
enjoy your evening! xxxx
p.s buying coinz is v. easy once you’ve set up the pp bit. If you scroll down on the page when you are changing your meez and click on the ‘earn coinz’ bit, you can follow instructions and buy them. $5 gets you 50 coinz, which buys loads, unless you are like me and buy things like the santa coat, which at 35 coinz takes up most of them!
Still, nice to have them to play with
I bought sadie meez a couple of new tops today, and also picked up some of the free stuff. I love going shopping for her, nothing looks bad on her!
