Hi, Nikki, this looks like fun – will be my next post. Enjoyed reading yours. Florence!!! Sorry to hear about the hospital, though.
What I meant by bumping is that he’s on a “temporary” certificate, and legally they have to hire the fully certified person if available, no matter how horrible. There is such a one lurking out there, a questionable transfer that the principal doesn’t want. They usually have their ways of getting what they want, as I’m sure you know, and this one wants Matt.
This is my first book by Margaret Drabble, unless you count nonfiction. Yes, if is a tough read at first, but I’m beginning to appreciate her more and more. It’s the voice of this woman that makes it difficult, but yesterday I discovered the delicious method behind her madness. She’s a good writer, and the character just gets to you, as she did Drabble and the modern day woman character in the book, so they say. I’m halfway through a slow go.
Have a lovely, lovely vacation anticipation!
Okay, I did my homework. Have a grrrreat day!
