last day

I had an extra long lie in today as it’s the last one for a few days. Tomorrow and Tuesday I don’t have to be in school until 9, but after that I’ll need to be up by 7.30. Lol, I know that by many people’s standards 7.30 is a lie in but I really am not a morning person, much as I’d like to be!

For the rest of the day I’ve been hoovering and dusting although it’s probably time wasted as Dave will still be home all week and with the dogs as well, the house is bound to get in a state pretty quickly! Here’s a photo of a house which is very easy to keep clean and tidy :)

It actually looks remarkably like my last real house except that it was semi-detached rather than detached and just had a normal window where the small bay window is. I bought it from a Sue Ryder charity shop. Dolls houses are one of their specialities and all profits go to their charity which provides care for people in need, particularly palliative care which is so important. It’s beautifully made, a good price and it’s nice to know that some of the money goes to an excellent cause.

Not sure how often I’ll be blogging from now on as once term starts I’m going to be super busy… even more so than normal as I have extra things to do this term including training  teachers from other schools in the new phonics programme we piloted last year. Also my partner in crime, the other Reception teacher, is taking some time off as she’s due to have an operation in a few weeks time, so I’ll be extra busy with that as who ever takes her place will need some guidance. Then there’s the support I’ll have to give with the IWB’s, yikes I’m getting stressed just at the thought of it! And that’s all on top of having a new class to settle and bond with (which of course takes precedence above everything else!). Wish me luck!
