Feeling rather guilty as I’ve done so little over the last couple of days. Housework and washing, of course. Plus some compiling of tables and graphs for school, but that was about it. Hmmm, now I’m thinking, why do I feel guilty? I got done everything that needed doing so why this guilt trip? Probably because I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time on here enjoying myself! Why do women, on the whole, feel guilty about having ‘me’ time and enjoying themselves? Or is it just me?!
Tomorrow I’m planning on some retail therapy. Payday on Friday and I there’s already a strange smell of burning coming from my jacket pockets! The weather is forecast to be horrible so there’s nothing else for it……a bit of a spend, it always works wonders. I’ve been blessed with a partner who loves to shop as much as I do, unlike my first husband who would sit in the car and give me ‘an hour to get everything done’!
I’m looking forward to a couple of hours this evening vegging on the sofa watching the latest Miss Marple dramatisation (Agatha Christie murder mystery). More guilt?? No way!

Hi, Nikki, that was the most wonderful comment. I really enjoy talking about our many common interests. Oh, and the guilt question. You know you shouldn’t feel guilty, but you do anyway. You probably need to rekindle your professional creativity, anyway. Thanks for the offer for graphics tips. I really don’t know my PSP program as well as I should. I would love some background tips when you have time. Making tiles seamless is a challenge for me now. No hurry because my laptop with PSP will be in the shop for awhile. The keyboard is sticking. I love that you have collected illustration for so long. You must have a nice collection, and it coincides with the early childhood thing so well. I’m off to get ready for the week now. Some of us have to work tomorrow lol!!!
You know Nikki, all teachers feel the same. When we are at home we always think we should be doing more things for school.
I smiled when I read your comment about Brokeback Mountain! My husband would not watch it either! Reminds me of the Northern expression amended here by me: Nowt as queer as “men”! LOL! Anyway because I raved about it the following day, he said he will. I hope you are having a great weekend! And are making the most of your time off! I also made a mistake on my blog, forgot to put the month for the Inspectors’ visit. They are back on the 28th June.
Hope your having a good May Day Nikki and enjoy spending your cash..
We have sunshine and I hope you do too.
Miss Marple was good last night…
Love your theme so soft and pretty
Hugs Pixie
Hi Nikki!
Happy May Day to you too sweetie! Changing your layout again? It’s really beautiful in here! I love it! You shouldn’t feel guilty over doing nothing… somtimes we need to do that. But I know what you meen… it’s the way we are. Have a wonderful week Nikki! Hugs Bente
Fun comments on poor Keith. I don’t know who his fans might be at this point. I didn’t even like him when he was young, either. I was a Beatles fan, too. No contest there. I had forgotten Johnny Depp based that character on Keith. So creative of him. I have PSP 9. That’s sad – I had to go look! My laptop is back up – I think it was cat hair in the keyboard, an embarassing but minor problem, thank goodness. Martine has it, doesn’t she? I was interested to read you’re going to a three-column. I do miss mine but don’t want to give up Fauna now that I’m about finished tweaking it. The Fauna guy told someone three columns are really tricky to fool with, so I don’t think I’ll be hacking it that way. Best of luck on your first day back. We get spoiled so quickly.
