look what I got!

It wasn’t going to be easy but at 10pm on Sunday night I placed a message on Julie’s LittleCottonRabbits website saying “buy” and was exceedingly lucky to be first in the queue to adopt Maxie Monkey!

Maxie’s a big boy at 11″ tall and he’ll be joining Cheeky Monkey (I’ll take a pic of him one of these days) to help my kids learn their alphabet (Jolly Phonics). Cheeky Monkey’s been successfully doing it for the last 7 years! Maxie Monkey will also be helping out with teaching the children good manners :) . (It’s fun being a teacher!!!)

  3. love the monkey! :)

I didn’t get round to answering your Q last week. No, I didn’t watch Bringing up baby. Decided against it, as I get so many criticisms from various places about my how I am bringing up gorgeous girl, that I thought I didn’t need a programme with the likes of Gina Ford telling me I was wrong too!

I watched JO last night, he was cooking with mushrooms, which I totally love. However, Laughed mysocks off at him going collectoing wild mushrooms then cooking with them.Ok if you have a mushroom expert with you like he did, then to do a venison and massive tree fungus recipe – hilarious! I’ve never seen a tree fungus in my life, so where on earth do you go to get one? Sainsburys?!!!!!! Bet The Mail don’t slate him for that though.

  4. Me again!
Bill saw the BUB prog last week, and mentioned that a couple had been told to throw the child out in the garden and basically ignore it. I am so utterly shocked that any ‘expert’ can say that. I know that there are times when you have to ignore toddlers, for example if a jumbo tantrum is going on, then best to walk off and leave them!! (ha ha ha, mum of the year strikes again), but making them spend all that time outside, and not making eye contact when feeding is so wrong.

    Anyway.

Yes, that photo of the apples is pretty good isn’t it? She says modestly! I’ve kept it on my camera, I just didn’t have the heart to delete it, even though it’s saved on the computer. The tiny butternut squash in the piccie was home grown. Didn’t manage to get any squashes at all this year, because of the rainy weather. Talking of which, hasn’t today be superb? I do love these grey autumn days. The sun broke out for a short while this afternoon, but I’m happy to report thtat all is grey and drizzly once more!

have a lovely evening. oh, and the ME pic I showed yesterday was a screensaver rather than wallpaper, so you could install it and still have your desktop as your sons piccie. :)
