new computer

Actually it’s about three months old now but I’ve been dragging my feet switching over to it as my old one has like over six years of data on it. But today I finally summoned up the courage to begin transferring everything. And so far so good. I’m using my memory stick which holds about 260mb…..wow what a great invention they were, imagine trying to do it on a floppy!
The only problem I’ve had so far is my IBD Support website which has hundreds of files on it. I have a web publishing programme which involves having a mirror version of the site on my pc. Haven’t managed to establish that yet. Apart from that the new pc is amazing. The speed of it is incredible…probably the equivalent to how it felt going from dial up internet to broadband!

Yesterday we went shopping as two of my nieces have had birthdays in the last week. Lucy who was 16 and Francesca who’s 14. I love buying pressies for them! Bank holiday weekend here in then UK and the weather is typical of it. Rained all day yesterday and it’s been cloudy and bleeugh today.

I bought some of Ronnie’s Whimsies which can be seen under my sigtags. I absolutely love the gracefulness of them and look forward to buying more. Click on them to take you to her site.

Oh, it looks lovely in here now. Thank you so much for making my background(s) today. I wasn’t quite satisfied until you added the finishing touch. How sweet of you to do that. We ran a few errands, and I found them when I came home – quite fun. Oh, and now I see why you needed to rotate twice. The whimsies are wonderful, so they deserved their own home. Hope you got everything transferred okay. Isn’t that the pits? I think it’s the fear factor. We’ve all lost so much stuff over the years we know so well it can happen, but I am more careful than I used to be about backing up. Enjoy every minute of your Monday!

Hello sweetie & happy new week to you ! :) So this is your week’s vacation, right ? I hope you’ll get to do what you want to do, to go where you want to go (spec shopping !) & relax as much as you can !
I finished a custom yesterday evening but didn’t have the time to make the certificate. When the boys will make a nap this afternoon, I’ll make it & will send them to you, OK ?
Now it’s almost time to go bring Paul to school & to go shopping for food.
I love William Morris & Arts & Crafts in general. It makes me remind of a book I read some years ago, a very good book according to me, about the Pre-Raphaelites, by Philippe Delerm, named “Autumn”. (just looked on Amazon.co.uk, so here is the link to this book : http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1583481826/qid=1148883256/sr=1-5/ref=sr_1_2_5/026-5004295-4270018 ) I love the Pre-Raphaelites, as well as Art Nouveau (Mucha & such).
OK, gotta go now … eheh !
Have a great start to the week, sweetie ! :) And thanks so much for tagging, I love this ! OXOXOXOX Best regards to Dave !
