Have had this darling picture of two cats in one of my folders for ages. This afternoon it clouded over and as I’d done everything I needed to do around the house I decided to play around with my blog. I already had two new themes uploaded ready for me to customise and I spent a couple of hours messing about but ended up deleting them as they wouldn’t do what I wanted them to do. So I came back to this splendid theme which is soooooo well written. Found a beautiful background I wanted to use and then realised the cats would blend in really well 
But it means that I did waste about two and half hours just playing around…ah well, with only three days left I guess I’m entitled to do that
This morning we went to the doctors to pick up the results of Dave’s latest blood tests..at last they’re allowing us to just collect them without doctor seeing them first. Dave is doing well considering he hasn’t dialysed for about 4 weeks now. Potassium level is good which is the main concern as it can be life threatening if it goes too high. A quick explanation for anyone who doesn’t know: Dave has virtually zero kidney function due to an inherited disease called Polycystic Kidney Disease. Normally the kidneys will wash out excess potassium which is in so many food products, not just bananas, but as Dave’s don’t work the potassium stays in his body and if there’s too much it can cause heart failure. So we have to constantly monitor what he eats. When he’s on dialysis the potassium gets washed out and he can then go back to a normal diet. Anyway, the blood test results were fine thank goodness.
Just one more thing before I finish. The papers were full today of the Venice Film Festival where Atonement, a film I mentioned a while ago, has premiered. Photos of the stunning Keira Knightley who is one of the film’s stars, wearing a sumptuous and glorious dress which just happens to match the colours of my blog!

ah yes, the thick socks and shoes. Hmm, ok, it might be fashion, but I’m not doing it. It looks nasty. You can thank Prada for this one, they have footless sock things with their shoes (remember the pic I showed of my lookie likey shoes? theirs were worn with the footless socks on the catwalk, but I’m sure you know that already)
well, I must be off. Time to get sadie meez ready for bed, them I’m switching off. It’s been a long day, humbug was a pain in the rump at times today. I love her so much, even though she drives me batty!

Glad to hear Dave is progressing so well and his blood tests have been good. I am quite relieved that BB8 is over, C4 (my most favourite channel) will resume normal programming (I know, Boo! Hiss!)
