My countdown plugin says 7 days to our holiday and 12 to our wedding, yikes! Actually that should read 6 days to our holiday as we’ve decided to leave a day early and do the nearly 600 mile journey in two stages. We’ve found a dog friendly hotel around about halfway there and will leave Friday morning to arrive there late afternoon, hopefully. Although Dave has done the trek all in one go a few times before, he’s really not fit enough for it these days 
I got my dress earlier on this week and now all I have to do is find the various bits and pieces to go with it. It’s a cream silk calf length prom dress and I’ll be adding plum coloured accessories….shoes, nails, hair 
, wrap, sash, flowers etc. Oh and I’ll be getting Dave a tie to match as well! I’ve really enjoyed choosing what to wear without all the pressure of having to have a white wedding and all that goes with it!

I’d been saying to Dave for quite some time that I’d really love to have a bike. Up until about 7 years ago, I’d always had a lovely old fashioned style secondhand one. Then Dave decided that it needed bits replacing on it, to make it safe, so he took it all to bits! Guess what? That’s how it still remains and he hasn’t got a clue how to put it back together 
. Then yesterday I was doing the housework when there was a knock at the door….and there he stood with a brand new old fashioned style bike!! I’m thrilled with it! Here she is in all her glory

Got some wonderful new adoptions from Siobhan today. She’s been offline for quite some time due to computer problems so it’s lovely to have something new from her.

I’m so stupid. I started leaving a comment last night,then spotted your meez and thought ‘I wonder if that’s the Posh Spice hairdo’, clicked on Nikki Meez to have a look and of course, lost my wretched comment! Grr.
I think I’ve made the right choice to pass on BB from now on. I watched last night’s and was so bored at the end with Rex and ‘my girlfriend’ (why does he always call her that?). Bored of watching him moon over her, get ratty with her (‘why are you being funny?’ – eh? what was that about?) and bored with seeing them snuggle and kiss over the barrier. And, I’m fed up with him harping on to the others about how good looking she is (proves he’s very shallow, seems to be the only thing he likes about her), and how she’s the best looking HM. What are they meant to say to that? ‘ooh Rex, you are so right, and so lucky, what a really lovely thing to happen to you, she’s such a princess’. urgh! Too dull, I don’t care and I don’t want to see it. I’m not surprised the others are feeling a bit put out, they must be able to see it will turn into the Rex & My Girlfriend show. I don’t like the way BB favour people and then try to make the public like them. They did it with Charly last year. I mean, she was voted out by the public, and they put her straight back in. Just because they thought it made good telly. She was back out again as soon as she was up for nom.
Lisa’s little ‘breakdown/break out’ was hilarious! The way she just bellowed ‘I’m going’. I had no idea what she was on about until she ended up in that little office!
Anyway. I’m over BB now, which is great, gives me a bit of time back in the evening. Marple is on tonight, so I’ll watch that.
Love your bike. It’s so trad and gorgeous looking. Do you ride a lot? I’m rubbish, I just crash and fall off, so that’s why I don’t use anything with wheels for transport. Even humbug suffers with me pushing her pram, I’ve lost count of the times I’ve managed to crash into walls or clip door frames!

Five more days!!!!! How lovely! Plum is a great choice. I have some OPI India plum color on my toes right now and am loving it. The cat video is delightful; I laughed out loud over and over. That guy has really captured the trials of cat ownership. I will go see the rest as soon as I can; I’m on Roy’s computer right now, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Enjoy every minute of this week, and don’t even try to come down to earth!

I love your new bike, even though mine is quite modern, I have got a wicker basket stuck on the front too so I can meander along the prom feeling a bit “Miss Marple-ish” with my library books spilling out the top. well, I had the telly on in the kitchen this morning as I pottered about doing this and that, and of course out of habit had C4 on. That Rex is so possesive. Each time I glanced at the screen, he was draped over Rex’s Girlfriend and I worried that she couldn’t breathe. He was always asking her what was wrong and why she wasn’t speaking to him, and just being totally over the top.She is an idiot, acts the stupid little girl and thinks that the Big Clever Rexy can sort things out. All that bleating on about not having her case. Well, she shouldn’t have thought that she was able to do whatever she wanted to do and leapt over the plastic fence when she got there. Simple. She must have thought being Rex’s Girlfriend meant she was special! So even though I’ve seen a bit of it, I am not making any effort to watch it. Had I not been busy in the kitchen I wouldn’t have had the telly on at that time.
