And very much looking forward to it We have everything bought (collected the last thing, my ring, this morning!), everything organised (we hope) and now I just have to pack the last few things and make sure the house is clean and then we’ll be off. Next week we have to pop into the registration office to sign a few things and have a quick rehearsal and we’ll be asking the Sheriff if we can have the dogs at the wedding. we’re not expecting her to say yes but it’s worth the try They would go beautifully with my dress

Yesterday Dave took me to see The Dark Knight, something I’ve been itching to see for the last couple of weeks. It did not disappoint! I’m not normally a comic book, adventure, action type fan but this Batman film and the one preceding it (Batman Begins) are big exceptions. They’ve both been directed by who I believe is the best young director in the world …. Christopher Nolan and I’ve been enthralled by all his films so far (add in Memento, Insomnia and The Prestige). Then there’s the actors: Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine (all British like the director himself). Plus Heath Ledger who is astonishing, Morgan Freeman, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Aaron Eckhart who all act their socks off. Three hours of excellence and an ending making me beg for more!
