Did a post last night (see below) and then accidentally clicked private in WP….it showed up in FF (in which I’m logged in) and as I didn’t view with IE I didn’t realise what I’d done. Took a look at blog while at work (viewing with IE) and then the penny dropped, DOHHH! (Note to self, check within FF and IE!)
Happy because it’s a three day weekend. The weather is exceptionally chilly after all these weeks of unseasonal warmth, we’ve been spoilt! I’ve even had to put the heating on. I don’t mind though as it’s so much cosier in the evenings like this
Dave is in the process of cooking tea and the smell is making me hungry……salmon and tiger prawn kebabs, yum!
Tomorrow I’m hoping to go shopping. I need something to wear for the funeral on Friday although there might be a dilemma there as the weather could be doing anything. I’m thinking a black shirt type dress with long sleeves, then I won’t have to worry about a jacket or coat (unless it’s raining!). We also need to look for wallpaper for the bathroom. it got me thinking about how there are very few places to buy wallpaper these days. We used to have a large decorating shop in town but it ended up closing just a few years after B&Q opened it’s doors on the outskirts of town. We have absolutely nowhere else so if I wanted something rather more upmarket like Osborne and Little, I’m stuck. So, as usual, I’ll be going out of town.
That now makes sense, I did wonder why it had yesterdays date and you talked about Thursday.. I have done it myself so know how easy it is to do!
Today has been a shock to the system with the chill factor.. I am snuggled on the sofa with my blanket..
I hope you find the things you need when you go shopping.. I bought some plants today in the hopes it does rain a bit, that will water them in for me..
Hugs Pixie
Hi, Nikki! I envy you the late spring weather. It was 75 degrees F here an hour ago, so it will be a warm day. Plus a humid one after thunderstorms yesterday. However, I’m looking forward to cocooning this weekend to destress a bit from the two-day workshop and catch up on school things. Start laughing. I reinstalled WP because I couldn’t get anything to work, only to learn it was just a 2.1.3 problem that could easily be solved by using Firefox. Live and learn and laugh!!!! I guess the funeral was yesterday, and I hope it went smoothly. What a difficult day that must have been. A little wallpaper might be just the distraction you need. Have a good weekend. Love your theme so much.
I know what you mean about the weather. It’s been a real shock yeterday and today with how much colder it’s been. I can’t believe that earlier on this week I had humbug out in the garden for her nappy off time!
I’ve been shopping today too. Got loads of goodies. Good old Primark, Peacocks and MK! ;o)
Hope you can find something for the funeral. That is not something to look forward to. I shall think of you and hope for good weather.
have a lovely Saturday xx
p.s totally love Osborne & little. Love Designers Guild too, I have their site linked up over at mine if you want to take a look around
xx
Hi Nikki I hope you enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend. The Egg and Spoon race sounded quite challenging to teach every how to do
love xxx
I know you must have spent your day wallpapering. Is it an accident that your new theme resembles wallpaper? Have a lovely Sunday!
Hi Nikki, Lucky you a three day weekend. I love the pictures of the flowers. How do you make them open in another window, that is so neat. Have a nice Sunday. *hugs*
hello! well, yes, the top of the dress isn’t quite right for me really, it’s rather revealing. I am quite busty too, a little bit more than normal because of the breastfeeding (I am hoping that the rumours are right, and post BF’ing they will shrink a bit, I’m fed up of carting them around!) so I am a bit conscious of them. Like you, so many dresses and tops don’t look right on me because of The Girls!
Vest tops are ok as long as they aren’t spaghetti straps or anything, I have to have a bit of support, I tend to wear black or brown too, light colours are just wrong, wrong, wrong!! So, my thinking is – maxi skirt, vest top, cropped denhim jacket for days when I really have to have a little something covering me up. It’s a bit gypsy, a bit hippy and a bit boho!
have a lovely Sunday. I’m off to give my little angel an extra snuggle and a kiss. I am so glad she’s safe. I hope they find that little girl soon. She must be so frightened.
