It’s been a while! If there’s anyone out there still, I do apologise for not writing in ages and also for the disappearance of many comments from here. My host changed servers at the weekend and in the process I lost comments and messages in my saybox However all is well now and apart from that, everything went smoothly.

Last week was not so good for Dave and I. He was in hospital for five days and I had to take the week off work as I had a chest infection. We both went back to work on Monday, neither of us completely better but much improved on the previous week. My course of antibiotics ran out on Monday and although I still have a delightful cough, I do feel much, much better and more like my old self. In fact as the week has gone on my energy levels have managed to build up nicely. Dave is still battling an infection in his pd exit site so we’re nowhere near out of the woods yet and he continues to take oral antibiotics. He resumes dialysis tomorrow night, hopefully.

Last Sunday we were both feeling stir crazy after being tucked up inside for over a week so we went shopping and cheered ourselves up! It was also our granddaughter’s first birthday so I had great fun finding something for her! I chose a beautiful embroidered linen pinafore dress with a little t-shirt underneath and a book for when she starts her potty training!

I also managed to get the shoes I’ve been hankering after for a while. I’ve been wearing them all week and they’re wonderfully comfortable!

Work hasn’t been great this week. Our school has had a couple of things happen which we’ve never experienced before. I can’t say what they are, suffice to say that we’ve all been badly shaken by it and half term couldn’t be more welcome.
