At long last I’ve been using my hammock and wow what a wonderful contraption it is! Soooooo comfortable especially when I have one of the huge sofa cushions behind my head and Harry Potter clutched between my paws….BLISS! Have to say that I haven’t been out there as much as I’d have liked but I expect there’s plenty more to come.
Update on Dave: pain coming under control without the heavy duty painkillers he’d been given which were making the pain go away but which had very strange side effects. We decided that if he could manage then it would be just the strong paracetamol which he’d also been prescribed. I was very shocked when he took the dressing off his wound yesterday and I also felt guilty! I suppose because I knew that hernia repairs were sometimes done via keyhole surgery I was expecting a small cut. Imagine our horror when we saw a six inch wound! No wonder the poor love has been suffering
And there was me, when he came back from surgery, jokingly saying he ought to try having a caesarian, then he might know what pain was all about. Well my scar is about half the size of his! So I’ve increased my sympathy level ten fold and his every wish is my command
Today I went out and bought myself a new keyboard as the old one’s been doing my head in…missing out letters every other word. I’ve gone back to a wired one as the shop didn’t have any wireless ones, but this one is fine and GREAT!
Thanks to all of you who said nice words about my music player
Only a couple of people have said they can’t hear anything (apart from a little man shouting yahoo!) . I’m not at all sure what music player is needed for this add on, but I’ll investigate it. I’m having tremendous fun choosing music to play. If ever you hear anything you don’t like, I do apologise, I will try not to pick anything too outrageous!
Last but not least HUGE and grateful thanks to dear Sadie, who on seeing that I was looking for a nurse emoticon, sent me one she had tucked away, straightaway. I’m tickled pink with it
I hope there are many sunny days for you to use your hammock, sounds heavenly to relax and read in
Awww poor Dave and I love the nurse graphic.
I now turn up the volume ready for the music treat when visiting you
Have a great evening
Hugs Pixie
