sad day today

as I’ll be attending the funeral of my friend’s dad. A few of us are going from work to be there for her as none of us knew her dad very well. She’s a very popular member of staff and we’ve all been terribly upset for her especially as only a couple of weeks before losing her dad, her beautiful dog (her baby) also died.

It’s a bright, cold and sunny day which is good. Yesterday was Dave’s last day off but I still have two weeks :) We spent the day doing nice things….a long lie in, lattes in town, a visit to my mum’s and then the weekly shop. While in town I went to the shop I get bargain buys from and I found a handbag in a shape I’ve been looking for. It was reduced to £5! It’ll be one of my summer bags :) I also found a pair of wedge sandals which are just my sort of thing….£12 which is pretty good!

I don’t have any great plans for my fortnight off apart from a good spring clean …….. when I’m in the mood! I’m in the process of changing the decor on here having just bought Caroline’s beautiful new country set, she is amazing! Here’s an example of it:

I hope it all goes well today for your friend and her mum. A hard day for them both. It’s nice that her friends are turning up to lend their support.

Love your purchases. The bag is very Alexander McQueen, love it.And I totally love wedge shoes too, so I approve! Wedges are so fab, comfy to wear and not as tricky as heels to walk in :) I’d love some Terry de Havilland wedges. Ah..one day maybe!

Carolines graphics are beautiful. Timeless classics all of them. I bought the ginger crumbs just before Christmas, even though it was a few years old by then, it was still perfect and I was thrilled to get them.

ok. got to go, Bill has gone to see his mother, and I can hear a little voice calling me. :) xxx

yey, I got in! Took ages for your diary to load in,but think that’s down to my computer.
Camera has just arrived! I’ve not opened it yet, and Bill has taken some rubbish to the dump, so he hasn’t opened it either. :)

no, I am not taking a photo of self! I always photograph like a total troll, so don’t take pics without good reason! (or if I’m squiff on a few glasses of wine!!!) I’ve been watching some dvd of us at Christmas and am horrified by size of rump, I really need to stop eating chocolate and guzzling tea all day and move a bit more. Less food might be an idea. Trouble is, I’ve just bought some cream cakes for this afternoon, and we have some rather yummy biccies from M&S too. Yikes! Oh well, diet can start on Monday …. again!

I’m sure you are not a lazy bat! :)
looks very lovely in here, by the way, love the graphics you’ve used.

ok. time I was off here. Lots of love and have a great day. cold and rainy here today! Nothing like springtime in England is there? ;) xxxxx
