Ohhh I just love this time of year when all the shops do their utmost to shift the surplus of stock they overstocked with for Christmas! One of my favourite shops, Next, opened their doors at 5 a.m. yesterday but I’m not that dedicated! We left it until 2pm today and there were still lots of bargains to be had
I bought myself a couple of tops which were less than half price, don’t you just love a bargain?!
We had a lovely Christmas Day, just us and the dogs. Boxing Day was spent with Dave’s side of the family. My mum was at my brother’s with his girlfriend and his three daughters. Tom spent Christmas Day with his girlfriend and her family. He had planned to come and stay for a few days but first his girlfriend was ill…..and still is…..and now poor Tom has been struck down with chicken pox, bless him! I’ve been dreading him getting it as an adult as it can be quite nasty. Poor love is covered in spots and feeling generally rotten!
On a more positive note, though, Dave is recovering well from his pd tube operation. He had his stitches out yesterday and each day he’s feeling stronger and stronger. I’m getting quite adept at changing his dressings each day
(I think he rather enjoys it!). His dialysis training is due to start on 15th January and as I have to go too, it looks like we’ll be staying over, close by the hospital, as it’s too far to travel each day. Once the training is completed he’ll start straightaway on dialysis.

Hi, Nikki, that’s so great about Dave doing so well. Everything is looking up for the New Year! We will be spending it with Matt and Ashley in Monroe so I’ll be offline a few days. (What’s new about that?) Happy, Happy New Year’s to you! Oh, the calendar got a late start but is finally working its way toward you. Blame it on Roy. I mean, why not?
