This past week has been super busy with lots of meetings and courses to attend plus Dave’s latest hospital visit. The latter went well, no blood tests to go on at that point, but the consultant was pleased to hear that Dave is feeling a lot better now that he’s increased the amount of dialysis…..a full 24 hours now rather than the 8 he was doing. Have just viewed the results of the bloods he had taken on Thursday and they’re much better
At last we’re getting somewhere with his phosphate level (new meds).
On returning from a course I and a colleague were on on Friday morning, our head came into the staff room and said a word that every teacher in England dreads hearing: ‘Ofsted’! Yes our time has come round again for the dreaded inspectors to visit and make judgements on our school. Nothing quite like Ofsted to make you doubt everything you do! So this weekend I’m double checking all my records (Ofsted love paperwork!) and generally making sure that everything is tiptop for when they arrive on Wednesday. Thankfully what used to be a four day inspection is now down to one ![]()

That is good news that Dave is feeling a lot better and the blood results are better too
Good luck with the Ofsted visit.. I am sure your school will do well..
Have a great week
Luv n hugs to all Pixie xxx
that’s brilliant news about Dave. Such a relief to you both, to know his blood has better levels.
Yikes to the Ofstead! I can imagine your trepidation, and I can imagine the paperwork. I’m sure it’s heaping on a ton of extra work at a time when you can do without it. Have you started with the nativity, which from now on I shall refer to as The Play, so you don’t have to hear the word ‘nativity’ absolutely all the time!
Hurrah to Meez finally getting some extra (dare I say it, normal) animations. I wanted the magazine reading one the other day, but didn’t have enough coinz so bought the reading with little girl one, which is also very relevant to me! Then the Meez newsletter came round with the freebie of coinz, which was well timed. Now Sadie Meez is happily reading. Unlike me, who has been v. busy hoovering, cooking, tidying up, doing laundry, and scoffing my lunch!
Made another cushion yesterday too.
Ok. Time I was off. Have a very lovely day, and in case I’m not about much next week, have a good week too
