..I really wish I wasn’t such a perfectionist! I’ve spent most of the day working on my PowerPoint presentation. It doesn’t have to be shown until the week after half term but I’ve been determined to try and get it done before that as much of that week will be spent writing reports (ugh, my biggest bugbear of the year!!). I decided to create my leading slide with PSP as I no longer have the piece of software (MS Photodraw) which I used to make collage/montage type pictures with. It’s taken me all afternoon to make what I wanted … with MS Photodraw it was soooo easy! Me being me wouldn’t be beaten though even though it would have made so much more sense to leave it until next week! My colleague and I are determined to knock the socks off the people attending the meeting and particularly a fellow teacher from another school 
Yesterday we had a wonderfully satisfying session of retail therapy. I discovered the perfect t-shirt for this year….a Red Herring square neck, just the right length in a myriad of colours for just £5 each. A bargain! I also found a cute knee length skirt (also Red Herring and also in many colours)….just bought the one (black) though. We had lunch in Cafe Nero (latte and raspberry and white choccie muffin, yum!). It was a gorgeous day, and today has been the same except that I’ve been stuck inside all the time.

1. Do you have any plans for a summer vacation this year?
Yes, we’re planning on spending as much time as possible in Dorset with Dave’s daughter and children 
2. Will you spend more time in the lawnchair outside or in the air conditioning inside?
Sadly no a/c here but a fan helps. I’ll be spending equal time in and outside provided we get a good summer!
3. What’s your favorite cool treat?
A very long freshly squeezed orange juice topped up with lemonade.
4. What’s your favourite summer activity?
Sunbathing with a very long freshly squeezed orange juice topped up with lemonade, a good book with my favourite music playing.
Well, I’m sure you’re snug in bed after spending your Sunday doing schoolwork. I totally understand how you feel. PowerPoint just turns me into a perfectionist, too. I smiled at what you said about that other teacher. Totally understand that one, too. I’m sure you will be fabulous. I looked at the shirt page and bookmarked it in my snoop shopping sites. Very, very cute stuff! Where have I heard of Debenhams before? Is it an old establishment or a new? Yes, I’m chomping to see little Alexander and know he will be sooooo big. Hi Nikki It sounds as though your presentation is going to be fabulous. MS Photodraw was the first graphic programme I used and I still have a certain fondness for it, although I do prefer the layers in PSP. It’s funny that Microsoft don’t seem to have upgraded it to a new version unlike all their other office products. You did well on your shopping trip – I desperately need some summer clothes but can’t seem to motivate myself to go shopping. Hope your week is enjoyable despite the report writing
