relaxing tonight
I wasn’t fishing for compliments when I posted last time that I was growing weary of blogging and the often one subject content, honest! But it was lovely to read that you enjoy my tales of classroom life
Thank you! This may or may not be my last entry before we go off to Dorset for half-term on Saturday. I do hope the week doesn’t go as fast as the last few weeks have gone, but I expect it will! Our visit coincides with Dave’s daughter’s house move so I expect we’ll be doing a lot of looking after her 9 month old daughter and five year old son……..ooohh what a hardship
This week has been as busy as ever and I’m starting to panic about when I’ll get time to wash all the clothes we’ll need to take with us. Hard to know what to take as the weather here is very unpredictable at the moment, hmmm what’s new?! I’m hoping it’ll be cold……..tonight we have a frost forecast which will be wonderful as I love cold mornings. I’m still wearing summer clothes and am itching to get into my black opaques!!
On Monday I was observed doing a lesson by our headteacher…she has to do that at least once a year so that she can report back to us and possibly adjust our pay
The lesson went really well I’m relieved to say, mind you most of the credit must go to the kids who are so very receptive this year. Then on Tuesday the boot was on the other foot when I went to another school to observe and appraise another teacher’s phonics session. Poor girl is in her first year of teaching so I really felt for her! I was able to give her a few tips on how to improve what was already very good practice.
It’s a real luxury to be able to blog mid-week………not too much schoolwork to do tonight, which is what I’m off to do now

Hello sweetie !
So glad you managed to blog before you leave on break. I do hope you’ll have a glorious time there, and a pleasant weather !
Sorry you’ve been so ever busy the last weeks, it seems to me that October is one of the busiest months of the year (well, sort of !)
Thank you so much for stopping by, it was so kind.
And, well, yes, I think cheddar muffins may be a bit moister than cheese scones (which I ate a long time ago, in France -mind you- in an English restaurant) But better have something to eat them with. Btw, there are none left … and I made 24 mini muffins ! Uh-oh … LOL
OXOXOXOX Big big hugs to you, my friend. Take good care.
I hope when your down this way, the weather is as perfect as it is today..
I love cold bright mornings and touch of frost is icing on the cake as far as I am concerned
How much fun you will have looking after the little ones.. and spending time with family.
I am doing ok..getting over a stinky cold.. which has left me feeling rather blah..
Hugs Pixie
I had good intentions today and was going to email you a good, gossipy email. But, time has totally run away with me. Shopping was superb this morning, we got back at 11, then my mum popped round about twenty minutes later, and stayed until she had to pick the kids up from school, I updated my diary, tidied the kitchen, sorted out humbugs tea, then after sweetpea had had her tea and bath, did some washing and ironing, and threw together a casserole. I have been on my little trotters all day, so am about to follow gorgeous girlies lead, and get into beddy byes! I promise email will plop through your inbox tomorrow. Hope you get a chance to read it before your hols! If not, something to entertain you when you return!
Lots of love to you xxx
p.s, it was so cold today when we went out, I loved it! And, right now, I am so parky, can’t wait to snuggle in bed!
xx
