Went to see one of the best films I’ve seen for ages this afternoon. The Prestige starring Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman as two Victorian magicians who are trying to outdo each other with dangerous and mystifying results. It keeps you guessing from the beginning to the very last frame and is full of twists and turns. Magical! The Prestige is directed by Christopher Nolan, a highly talented British director who’s films I make a point of seeing whenever they come out. This is his fourth major film to date. His first was Memento, a unique and mindboggling experience. Insomnia was next, followed by the best of the Batmans, Batman Begins. When Mr Nolan brings out a film, you know it’s going to be different!
Hi, Nikki, I remember your saying you loved Memento, and I didn’t realize it was the same director when I saw the ad for this one. I am intrigued by Victorian Britain, so I’m sure I’d love this one. So interesting about the cottage – I fell in love!!! Haven’t been online for a few days – spent today doing catchup school things and going to a wedding shower in the afternoon. It was nice, though – very sweet couple – a cousin of Roy’s. Have a nice rest of weekend!
