the weather was kind…..

….. yes the school trip was a resounding success and the weather played no small part in that! If it had rained it would have been an entirely different kind of day. As it was the children got to feed all the animals which included goats, chickens, ponies, rabbits, lambs and deer. The latter were fed when we went on a ‘deer safari’ which was good fun. It’s been a good breeding season as there were bambis a plenty! Here’s a few pics from our trip, including Trevor the 90 year old tortoise:grin:

The other event which I was hoping we had good weather for was the town’s Rose Fair. It was raining a.m. but fine p.m. and best of all our school won best junior float!

It’s been an unbelievably busy and stressful week for one reason or another so I’m hoping the last seven days of term prove to be less demanding and that I can just have fun with my lovely class. Lastly, had one spot of luck early in the week when I received a package I’d won on eBay. I’d originally ordered some Jo Malone perfume, Red Roses, to add to my growing collection of her sumptous fragrances. The poor lady I bought it from is undergoing chemotherapy and there were a few mix ups. As an apology she sent me the perfume I’d ordered along with a lovely selection of body products.

lovely photos, I’m glad the weather was kind to you. You have been lucky, it’s been pretty grizly out there this week at times!

ooh, the JM goodies look lush! I’ve never tried them, and really ought to do so at some point. Could do with a nice smell around here, little one has just done a corking poo and the stench was amazing – not in a good way!

Got to see BBLB and the diary room uncut. That Luke is such an annoying little twerp. Do you, I really believe that he thinks himself to be very handsome and a bit of a catch! He’s a bit of a cow, he should have been a girl. Some of things he comes out with are so nasty. I would LOVE him to be up for eviction this week. Happy Birthday Luke, now get out and close the door on the way out. Would be so funny!
Mario seemed a bit subdued on BBLB. And he failed his H&S test! ha ha ha.

Glad you’ve had a nice day. Me too. I cleaned out my fridge, which sounds dull but makes me happy! I am a sad and tragic case. Now it’s time to dunk the girl in the bath. We’ve just been bouncing around the living room, whilst watching Carrie & Davids Pop Shop, and I am utterly shattered. Need to remind self that I am not a sprightly young thing anymore, but practically touching my 40’s! eeks.

  3. Hi Nikki

Glad your school trip was fun and congrats on winning a prize for the best float at the parade :) I’m glad you can use the vouchers – I found yet another couple in a zip up section of my handbag the other day! They seem to appear from nowhere. Sandy’s results came back on Friday and all is well. The cyst she had had for over a year and they just said to wait until she needed something else doing – they weren’t really sure what the bump under her ear was so they thought they’d better whip it off and take the cyst too! You’re right though it is worrying when pet’s have all these things :( Holly and I are going to go to Mama Mia tomorrow afternoon – I am so looking forward to it. We’ve got a jam packed couple of days of things planned but I hope to come back later in the week and catch up some more on your news – it’s getting late and I’ve got to go to work tomorrow. Have a great week – I bet you can’t wait for the school hols xxxxx

  5. Hi, Nikki! Loved the animal photos. The one of the two male deer is the most stunning! The one of the float is the most charming, of course. I have never heard of Jo Malone but will keep an eye open for possible appearances. I haven’t ordered from EBAY in so long I’ve practically forgotten how. I used to have fun adding to my collection of bakelite bangles that way. I know what you mean about end of year stress. It just mounts and mounts for some reason. I bought an all in one notebook organizer for teachers and am otherwise starting to get ready for back to school. Oh, I wanted to ask for your address in order to return your book. I must have lost it when my previous laptop died. I see you are reading another Ellory. It was a wonderful read, but as you said, emotionally taxing. I saw at the end he admires Stephen King among more obvious others! Well, Roy is in the kitchen trying to get our coffee grinder to go. I think it just croaked. Waaaaaaaaaaaa!
