Angry because this morning we were due to meet my mum in town for coffee and she was late arriving. Turned out she’d been to her building society to withdraw some cash and then discovered that her account details had been used and that someone had withdrawn a huge amount of her money! Luckily the building society was actually open and after lots of questioning they will be sorting it all out for her and replacing the money. I’m sooooo angry about it!! Mum is the third person I know of who this has happened to in the last two weeks! The building society told mum that the money had been used to place bets…..online maybe, or over the phone. It’s certainly made me think more carefully about buying things online and whether my computer is totally up to date with it’s security.
Apart from that, Dave and I’ve been out and about buying a few bits and pieces and having lunch in our favourite coffee shop Cafe Nero It’s absolutely the nearest we have to the real thing around here and after our trip to Italy last year we still hanker after the real thing!

that’s awful Nikki. I hope they can sort it out. Watchdog are always exposing banks and building societies for their slovely way of chucking out personal details. they often don’t shred them, but bung them out for the binmen in black bags! anyone could get them and use the info, it’s totally disgusting.

hope you enjoyed your week off. We’ve got a Cafe Nero here too, it’s down the same street as both Costa and Starbucks! I am a Starbucks girl myself, and can’t get enough of their caramel macchiato. I think I have an addiction. seriously!

How awful!!!! I hope your Mom can get her money back???? It’s such a terrible thing. It’s happened to many of my family members and friends already, in many different ways. We definitely need more security…everywhere!!!!
Disney World is amazine and I have never been there before. Families are so lucky to go there so often. My cousins and aunts and Uncles go every year, and then take another sort of trip during the year as well. It may be fun, but I think those kids are spoiled with things they don’t deserve! They are such brats and my aunt threatens them daily when a trip is coming up soon, with the silliest little things….like : “if you don’t clean your room you’re not going to disney world” and the girls aren’t so stupid as to believe them, because they go either way! It drives me crazy! Anyway….I’m excited! I hope your brother and nieces are having a blast there right now!!!!

Well, this is horrible about your mom. I hope they catch the thief who did this. Thanks for all your support recently. I haven’t posted this, but at DIL’s appointment yesterday, her gynecologist said the new ultrasound showed potential kidney problems with the baby, and the endocrinologist had already said he wanted to test her kidneys. I hope Dave is having a good week. I often think of you and your difficulties. Hugs, Julia
