For the fourth time in about six months I’ve lost my voice
I’m seriously worried now and if it’s no better by the time I break up (literally I think!) I’m getting an appointment with my doctor. I’m a little scared as it’s not unknown for people who use their voices a lot to actually lose it permanently and if that were to happen, I’d not only lose my voice but my job too. This time round it’s quite painful which it hasn’t been before. All the staff in Reception have got colds at the moment thanks to the kids sneezing and coughing all over us….the bug seems to attack my vocal chords rather than give me a cold.
This is a particularly busy week as we’re making Easter cards, Easter nests (out of Shredded Wheat and melted chocolate), trying to get all the termly assessments done AND making a visit to the local post office to post off postcards the kids have made for each other AND taking them to the local police station for a tour of the place (we’re doing People Who Help Us as our topic this term). PHEW, wore me out just writing about it! roll on Friday
I hope you get your voice or lack of voice sorted.. what a worry for you.. not nice with the added pain.
Yummy on the shredded wheat and chocolate
You have worn me out reading what plans you have for the children.. they are very luck to have such a good teacher as you
I love this theme.. the colours are gorgeous, and the fairies adorable..
Hugs Pixie
Sorry about your voice, it sounds like laryngitis to me. I hope it’s nothing serious. Do take it easy & feel better very soon, hugs
Hi Nikki…so sorry that you’re not feeling well. Hope you get your voice back and to feeling better real soon! Lotsa hugs!
Hi Nikki
Hope you get your voice back before Easter.
least Dave will be happy, that you cannot nag him
about drinking to much
hello my friend,
oh no, I’m so sorry you lost your voice again ! Did the doctor prescribe you cortisone ? Chris took it the last two times he lost his voice. Knock on wood, it’s apparently away.
I hope your vocal cords will get better soon & that you’ll find a way to protect them for a while. I’ll keep thinking about you, my friend.
Will it be Eeaster break for you on Saturday, like for Paul ?
Sending you my bestest hugs for a quick recovery. OXOXOX
sorry about the throat. Do you bellow at all the kiddies?!
only joking! It can’t be much fun for you, when you rely on your voice. Bill is the same, his job relies on the telephone, so he often has a hoarse, sore, throat, and it’s not funny at all.
I hope yours gets better.
wow, you are busy at school! I’m worn out reading what you are doing.
Thanks for your sweet comment. Made me almost shed a tear when I read what you said about humbugs food.
true though.I put loads of veggies and loads of love in, in equal measures!
Did you have a fruit tea? I have to be in the mood for them, I can’t stand many of them and camomile makes me retch, but the raspberry and rose was very pleasant, and made a nice change. I leave it to cool, so it’s just ‘hot’ rather than ‘straight from the kettle boiling’. I even started today off with a r&r tea instead of my normal brew.
thanks for sending your address. I’m getting a nice list now. If you want to see my cards, then follow the links to my friend Jackie’s (she lives in Brighton, we met on line and she and her family came to our wedding!) , she has a card diary and has kindly made a page of the cards I’ve sent her over the years.
must go. have a lovely evening, look after yourself. xxxx
