three more days…

…to half term, can’t wait even though much of it will be spent working. But no pressure to get up early each day is worth it’s weight in gold. One thing I’ll definitely be making time for will be the return of Big Brother…..BB8 in fact. I’ve stuck with this amazing programme right from the first series. I’m never too keen on the ‘Celebrity’ version but I love the ummmm ‘real’ people one! Actually the housemates are becoming less and less real as time goes on. I was just watching lovely Davina being interviewed by Paul O’Grady and she was saying that the people who audition for it have to go through psychological tests….Paul pipes up “Do they pass??” a very pertinent question in view of the mental state of some of the housemates in the last couple of years!

Another thing I have to make time for is filling up a new (old) piece of furniture I’ve acquired. When I got the new desk that my desktop PC now rests on, I lost a few drawers as the old one had three. These were filled with things like cards, paper, craft materials, wrapping paper, tissue etc. Until now they’ve been languishing in a large wicker basket. But now I’ve been given a rather large tallboy which has ten drawers! Each one is perfect for A4 paper/card. It’s a lovely bit of furniture but I have yet to find a good place for it. So next week I’ll be moving it to a more suitable position and filling it with lots of lovely things!

Must fly as my lovely son has just walked in…haven’t seen him since before Easter, what a wonderful surprise! :)

What a great piece of furniture, have fun finding the perfect place for it and filling the drawers :D
I look forward to school hols too.. not that I have to do much for my son at 17 he is more than capable of sorting himself out.. I just love having the place to myself first thing… for you it must be great not to have to get up and out.
I am not a fan of BBB.. I did see the Paul O Grady show and thought that was a good question.
How lovely your Son turning up like that :)
    Have a great evening
    Hugs Pixie

Hi Nikki What a wonderful set of drawers – useful and pretty :) Storage is such a problem with papers and such – I am ashamed of the chaos I am sitting in. I prefer the Celeb BB (although the last one made me cringe) and have never watched a “normal” one – I am not happy that it takes over the TV schedules with all the supplementary programes Big Brothers Garden Shed, Big Brothers Great aunt et al. C4 is a favourite channel but it puts it out of bounds for me :( Hope you had a nice time with your son Lots of love xxxx

How lovely to get a surprise visit from your son. I know I can’t wait to see mine I haven’t seen since Easter! That chest is fabulous. I know you’ll have fun organizing your things in there. You said it so well when you said each day of vacation is worth its weight in gold. Three more days, three more days! We’ll be jumping for joy! Hugs, Julia

love your tall boy. :) when do you break up for summer?

ah, yes, Lorraine Kelly, possibly the most irritating presenter on telly. I have no idea why she is so popular. I couldn’t believe it when yesterday I switched on BBC1 at some point, and found coverage of Chelsea flower show with…LK presenting it! Arrh!

glad you enjoyed my letter! :)

well, am doing a bit of web stuff, then I’m off for an early night. Oh, after The Apprentice. So not early at all then!

hope you’ve had a good day and enjoyed the weather :) xxx
