too much to do, too little inclination to do it!

I have a pile of work to do, including my son’s end of year tax assessment, and yet here I sit, blogging, designing new themes and generally achieving zilch! Filling in a tax return is not my idea of fun but at least I can do it online….a much quicker and easier way than the old way of filling out numerous forms and adding too many numbers together.

The amount of things that can now be done online, never cease to amaze me. A fairly recent addition to these is our go-ahead, innovative local G.P.’s surgery. They have now made it possible for patients to book an appointment online. By logging in with your username and password, you are able to view all the slots available and then book the one most convenient for you. After years and years of having to constantly redial an engaged phone and then missing all available appointments that day, this has to be one of the best ideas ever! Dave has also recently signed up for a brand new service with his hospital where he’s able to log on and see all his test results. This is especially useful to him as his blood tests are a vital part of his treatment.

I have to say that I do love the internet. It has it’s downside, as in all walks of life. But on the whole I do think it’s enriched our society and far exceeded anyone’s expectations of how it would infiltrate our lives.

OMG, I haven’t been here in a few days and missed the post about the big scare. We have had our share of scares around here, and I know how it is to see that become a way of live. You just keep keeping on, but it’s still the worst kind of stress. You are both in my thoughts and prayers. I’ve been in the do nothing mood myself today, at least as far as schoolwork. I had a goal to make at least one homemade flipchart for my Promethean ACTIVboard, something I have neglected doing for far too long. Maybe tomorrow, as Scarlet said. Hope your Sunday is a nice one!

Hi Nikki, oh I have a card similar to your espresso card, mine is Ceylon & it’s made in UK :o ) I should take a photo of it although you may have seen it already.
How scary for Dave, I hope this doesn’t happen often in the future. I’m tagging you, check my blog to know why :) Big hugs
