And it’s all of my own making. Seemed like a good idea to go with Dave and his sister to Coventry on Tuesday to make arrangements for their mum’s ashes to be interred alongside their dad’s. And I’m glad I went as I think they both appreciated me being there so that’s all that matters. Then yesterday Dave asked me to accompany him to a big food hall place on the Norfolk Broads where he was giving out samples of the beer he sells. We weren’t very busy and I spent most of the day feeling like a spare part. However I did get to have a browse around the shops (all of which are owned by someone called Roy who seems to own the town too!).
Most of the shops were not my cup of tea at all but I did happen upon a section of Esprit clothes which I’ve never been interested in before. It seems that I have come of age for Esprit clothing, they’re perfect for me! I spend/waste so much time searching for skirts and dresses that are the right length. I’ve never been one for calf length or ankle length. I spent my teens wearing floor length skirts and dresses in my hippy days and had a few months wearing midi length because it was the fashion but ever since I’ve either worn trousers or knee length (or slightly above) skirts and dresses which at my height (5ft) are the most flattering length there is. Anyway, I found a fab knee length patterned grey cotton skirt and a sweet little blue top with gathered neckline. Both fashionable and stylish and just right for someone who thinks they’re about ten years younger than they really are
At my age I should be shopping in M&S but I just won’t!!!!
Where was I? Oh yes, too much to do……because, what with Monday being a bank holiday, Tues and Wed being out and about, I found myself today with about six loads of washing (and a damp and drizzly day but don’t get me started on THE WEATHER!!). A house that had a thin layer of dog hairs all over it. A laptop which was calling out for me to make a start on those darn reports. Plus numerous other things like presents to wrap up and post off, a dressing room which looked like 50 women had been inside trying on all the clothes etc etc. Anyway, I got most things done apart from two of the loads of washing AND I made a start on the reports, hurrah! I have a few pics to share: a photo of some flowers I got for half price on Monday, a pic of Charley feeling very sorry for herself as she’s a poorly girl at the moment. Keeps being sick and lethargic so we’re taking her to the vets tomorrow. And lastly there’s a pic of one of the most delicious lattes I’ve ever had (drunk in a pub which didn’t belong to Roy!).

argh. I am so stupid. I started to type a comment, then read back on your diary entry and click on a link, which of course took me out of your diary and lost my comment! All my own fault, I’m a berk!
Just wanted to say thanks for your email, there is no need but you are kind and it is much appreciated
Big Day is Thursday.
you certainly have been a busy bee. YOu have no right to go gadding about here there and everywhere, when you could be writing diary entries instead!
Hope you are in happier mood than you were this time yesterday!
Sill a bit parky here today. The sun is out, but the sky is still grey and a blustery wind is a blowin’.
hmm. that coffee looks nice. Which pub and where, please? Just in case I know it, Bill most probably will.
I lost my mind the other day and thought I’d make myself a coffee one afternoon. God I am rubbish at making coffee, instant or otherwise. Now I know why I only drink it from Starbucks and rarely anywhere else!
Right. Off to play on Google. Had fun yesterday, googling ‘the ghost boy on three men and a baby’ (turned out to be a cardboard cutout, but still looks freaky when you see it), then I looked at ‘munchkin suicide in Wizard of Oz’, and finally a site on ghost photos! Don’t ask. Just one of the many ways I can squander any free time. xxxx
Aww at having too much to do, hope you work your way through it all..
Love the flowers, give Charley a gentle hug and hope she feels better soon and oh could just do with a latte.
I am with you on the weather and dog hair.. not sure that Sweep knows how to keep the stuff to himself, luckily Mason doesn’t appear to lose it the same way .. else I would be knee deep! lol
Any way have a good weekend and here is hoping for sunshine
luv n hugs Pixie xxx
What a fabulous post! Love the dog hair detail. Leisure time, however busy, obviously agrees with you. I am waiting for baby and company but had to pop in to say hello. I did spend just a few minutes with that template base I mentioned today and am sooooo happy to have found it. There’s much left to do, but I know I will love being able to change just this and that and not the whole thing at once – because of semifamiliarity, if that makes sense. I know it’s not a word LOL! I so hope your Charley is not too sick. I will say a little prayer and always hope it’s okay to pray for animals. Always love it when you post about fashion. I seem to have lost mine, but there’s always hope, no? A bientot!
Hi Nikki, The day in Norfolk boards wasn’t a complete write off, sounds like a lovely find you made at Esprit. I use to shop there but the store closed, almost everything closes here after a the novelty wears off. Love the flowers, hope nothing serious is wrong with Charlie and she feels better soon. Your picture of the Latte has made me thirsty, so I’m off to make myself one. *hugs*
