two weeks off!

How wonderful to think that I don’t need to get up at an ungodly hour for two whole weeks! (I’m ashamed to admit, though, that I call 7.30am an ungodly hour!). But what with the Crohn’s rearing it’s ugly head still and a horrible throat I can do with a few lie-ins. The children worked like little trojans for the latter part of the week so that everything was done by yesterday. That left a nice relaxing and leisurely day today with the little darlings occupying themselves very well with lots of cutting, sticking, drawing, colouring, playing on PoissonRouge (fab!) and creating with Ello or Lego.
I have been so blessed this week with gifts from my very dear and hugely talented friend, Ashild.

I am totally in awe of the graphic artists out there, such as Ashild, Sadie and Sonia who are able to create beautiful graphics with a miniscule amount of pixels! You are all amazing!!

    Just a late visit, I know you’re watching TV as I’m typing this … eheh (just came from Sadie’s) I really hope you had a relaxing day, doing nothing but what you wanted. That’s how vacations should be, right ?!
    Awww thanks so much for the kind words about drawing with few pixels … it’s not that it’s difficult, but it can be very tricky, according to what you have in mind … :)

    :) thank you Nikki! I work in the normal paint programme, usually magnified to the 8x, so I can get the detail in. Then I use psp to shade and soften if needed, and finally to change into a gif and/or animate. :) I’ve never been someone who can use psp to draw in, can’t work it out at all!

    7.30 ungodly! I am so jealous! I’d love to be able to get up at that time each day. I’m up through the night at stupid hours. I have to say, I don’t mind though. Little one is actually pretty good during the night, and while she doesn’t ’sleep through’ she isn’t up screaming from dusk to dawn either. (actually, I don’t really believe mums when they say little Freddy sleeps through and has done since he was 6 weeks old. So, not awake at all then? Hmm. I think not!!!)

    Tiffin. yes, a good word to use for the cake. It is nice, but oh so rice. Wish I’d used rice krispies instead. Actually, no I don’t, I’d have scoffed the lot for breakfast if I’d have done that! :lol:

    should say ‘oh so sickly’not oh so rice! what am I on about?! :lol:

    and, must get over to Ashilds and order one of those little tinies. Very, very cute. I know just which one I am going to buy too. ;)
