well phewweee!

A brilliant day was had by all….the weather was dry, coolish and windy which was completely fine by us! The sun even peeped out at times :) The children were on their best behaviour and I was totally proud of them all in their uniforms showing off the name of our school so that other visitors could see what well behaved kids we have :) They fed goats, lambs, piglets, horses and ducks. Collected eggs, met a 98 year old tortoise. Went for a tractor and trailer ride to feed herds of deer (or camels as one of the kids described them on the way home!)….. stags with velvety antlers and then females with their babies. Here’s some photos, bearing in mind that I’m not even allowed to publish the children’s faces on the school website, let alone on here so have only chosen suitable pics.

I’m glad you had good weather. Well, good for us anyway! One of my nephews (E) went to
Jimmy’s Farm this week. They thought they would have to cancel as the weather has been
so bad. What made me a bit annoyed though, was the school charged £6.50 per child.
There was no food like a BBQ or anything, and here’s the thing, Jimmy’s Farm is free to
visit. Bill and I often go to buy sausages and things (which, by the way, pretty expensive)
or to the farmers markets. I can’t help but think it’s a bit out of order to charge so much when
the parents could take their kids at the weekends for nothing. Still. I’m sure there are costs
that I don’t know about, and so it was perfectly justified, but there was no explanation as to why
    it cost that amount.

Anyway. Hope you have a super weekend. I’m worn out. Been into town again this morning,
I think I must have ants in my pants!!! xxxx

I’m glad it’s not just me who thought that the cost was a bit steep! I thought I must be getting a bit tight in my old age! Glad you are enjoying the concert. Have the Black Eyed Peas been on yet? I love them (which is odd for me really, but I do. Where is the Love being one of my all time faves) I want to se the BEP’s and Madonna. Not too bothered about the rest of them, not after last week. I feel all concert-ed out! saw your comment over at jackies, enjoy your hammock and wine!
    xxxx
