Very good comments about the McCanns, BTW. What bothered me so much about him was his stocism after the recent police thing. Who would take it like that? Then after several days, he memorizes a little pat speech. I just don’t know. I know I never left my children in any kind of situation alone at home, let alone in a strange country. Time will tell if they were involved, sad to say. One report says she had previously drugged the child or children, which is inconceivable in itself.

Hi, Nikki! Missed you much! So good to read your class is calm and collected. I have two great bunches and one that’s lagging, but we’re working on that. Love your Meez. That’s the cutest one I’ve seen. I just got off the phone with daughter Ashley, who just came down from a weekend (Fri-Sat) on Mount Hood. They’re beginning autumn up there, while we’re still stuck in perpetual summer. What kind of whiteboard are you getting? I just love mine so much. Hi Nikki, thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment I agree with you that there seems to be more to the whole thing than what they have told the police. I still can’t believe that they or even the friends they were with that night, allowed them to leave their children alone like that. Was it something they usually did or what?

I have an older sister, but I felt like I was an only child, because she didn’t really acknowledge me as her younger sister when we were younger. I did have a bit of trouble socializing with my other peers, esp boys lol I attended an all-girl school, and well you get the drift

Hi Nikki, How nice that you seem to have a good class this year, I hope it continue throughout the school year. I don’t know what to make of the McCanns. I haven’t followed it enough to make an opinon, although I found it strange that the children were left alone while they went to dinner. Hope you are having a nice Sunday. *hugs*

Laura certainly did shock me! She loves summer and hates snow!!!!! well, normally.

anyway. just came over. They are leaving Portugal now. Things seem to be happening very quickly. I don’t know what to make of it. Apparently people have signed a petition for SS’s to ‘investigate’ them!! Good grief! This will turn into a witch hunt, and I can’t help but think that’s what the portugese plod want.

Hi! So happy to hear you have a good class. We seem to have great 4th graders, but the 3rd are so immature this year. They are trying but it will take time I think. One of the teachers said the other day only 175 more to go! I can’t think like that. I don’t start counting til around the end of February. It is like summer here still. I told Sadie today I can’t wait for snow. I think I shocked her! She knows how much I really don’t like snow! have a good nite. Hugs

*sigh* now I’m feeling gloomy. I don’t want humbug to suffer from being an only child, but I really don’t want to go through pregnancy and childbirth again. Yuk! I hope she will be like me when I was at school; I loved learning. I had two brothers and one sister, and I honestly can’t say that made me a better pupil!

As for the Mc Canns, I just cannot and don’t want to think that they had anything to do with it. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve never thought they were total innocents, and have felt totally furious for them for leaving not one, but three children alone, while they scoffed their dinner and got squiffy. All this ‘it’s the same as your kids being upstairs asleep, while you’re out in the garden’ thing has never washed with me. It’s sooooooooo not the same thing. For a start, when humbug is asleep upstairs I don’t even go out as far as the garden, and I check the front and back doors are locked a million times. I have always found it utterly unbelievable that anyone would go on holiday and assume that all would be safe and well to leave children alone. What if they fell out of their cots? choked on something? pulled blankets over their heads and suffocated? I am shocked that anyone would think that was an ok thing to do.
But still, I do not want to think they had anything to do with it. Although, I’ve always found something distasteful about Mr MC, who has been in the public eye and all over the world a bit too much for my liking. I would have curled up and died.

time will tell.
