Haven’t done a great deal over the last couple of days as the weather has been amazing and we’ve both spent most of the weekend sunbathing and reading. Decided that I’m cooked enough now so have come inside to cool down, phew! The UK is really experiencing quite a heatwave and along with England’s win in the FIFA World Cup yesterday I’d say there’s a sense of joy in the air. If not joy, then definitely barbecue smoke
!
After spending most of the day relaxing yesterday, I finally got around to doing reports in the late afternoon and evening. What a shame I can’t do them outside on my laptop but the sun is too bright to see the screen. Have decided to do them differently this year. Rather than doing a child at a time, I’m doing a couple of subjects at a time. Six subjects altogether for the Foundation Stage: Personal and Social, English, Maths, Knowledge and Understanding, Physical Ed, and Creative Ed. I’ve done half the children’s Personal and Social and English so I’m quite pleased with that and plan to do the rest after doing my blog (priorities!!).
Went out briefly yesterday and bought myself two great new CD’s, both English groups: Zero 7 and The Feeling. Both lovely summer music and perfect for playing while I’m report writing!
I’m sitting here with perspiration dripping off me, no air conditioning here unfortunately! So am going to finish now and sit somewhere cooler with my laptop.

Yes, isn’t the weather amazing
I’ve got The Feeling, I think they’re brilliant. I did write you a massive email, only for it to disappear whilst attaching a pic of Adam and me, so was very annoyed. There was nothing more to report re Pete, except I still find him amazing, he’s in rehab this week. Good luck Pete, but it’s going to be a long road ahead. For anyone else who reads this, I’m on about musician haha
I’m off to the wireless festival in London for 3 days on the 20th, looking forward to that, should be fun.

Oh, congrats on the soccer show. I am hopelessly out of it when it comes to most sports, sad to say, but I understand your enthusiasm! Your site looks so, so pretty, and oddly familiar! I have destroyed but will rise again. Love and Hugs, Julia PS How many days to Italy? Are you counting yet?
Hello again, Nikki, I’m wondering what you call hot. Better check your weather thingie. Can’t figure out the C too well, but if you say you’re hot, I’ll take your word for it lol. Have a lovely Friday!!!
Hi Nikki
I think we have the same beautiful weather… finally! I’ve been working days and evenings these two weeks… so tired… and 4 more weeks to work before our SUmmer vacation… puh. The kids start their vacation next week. Love the topper on your blog… gave me a big smile. Hugs and blessing and have a wonderful weekend! ~Bente
I can’t get my head around how nice the weather is! What a pain that we have to be in school..at least makes it easier to get up in the morning! Like you I cannot work outside because of the light so it’s indoors for the reports and other marking of books etc…
Not into Football so I have not been watching at all.
Have a great Sunday!
