yawn!

Not sure if it’s the weather or just me being me but I’ve been so sleepy today. Have spent much of the afternoon printing off my reports….yay!….and just doodling around on here. We decided not to go anywhere today as tomorrow we’ll be travelling down to see my Tom who lives 60 miles away. It’s his 24th birthday tomorrow (yikes!) and we’re taking him out for a meal at one of our favourite Italian restaurants Prezzo. I’m not too sure how well he feeds himself, especially since he broke up with the most recent gf about a month ago. I always feel that when he has a gf then at least they may be looking after him a little…probably not at all in actuality but it makes me feel better! No, we never shake off our protective mother role even though we have to pretend we have once they get over a certain age (especially boys for their own sake!). And my Tom is very very independent (hmmm I wonder where he gets that from?!). So I keep throwing cookery books in his direction which he uses from time to time thankfully! In fact he’s actually a very good cook/chef it’s just that he can’t be bothered a lot of the time.

Two gorgeous new adoptions from dear Siobhan (made especially for me!)

The weather is still too much on the muggy side for my liking but apparently we’re going to go down to about 12c next week (about 52f!). Typical Sports day weather…it’s always either cold and wet or baking hot, oh well…….

I love what you’ve done with these graphics and Regulus. I never went so far as to change all the colors but will definitely give it a try sometime in future. I discovered a Fauna update and am having fun playing with that right now. Have fun tomorrow; the restaurant looks divine – cosmopolitan, European, elegant but not too frou frou. I know what you mean about boys, having to hold back for their own sake lol. But not on his birthday; so enjoy lavishing him with attention. Hugs, Julia PS I saw and admired those graphics at Siobhan’s. Very special.

I’m so stupid! I’ve just been getting so conused, trying to leave a comment and seeing I’d left one already. Because I was looking at the last entries comments!
Well, I hope to get a card in the post for you this week. Remember a while back we discussed Christmas card ideas for your little ones to make? I’m just putting together a mock up now. I should get it finished either Monday or Tuesday, and I’ll pop it in the post by the end of the week.
I know it’s really early, but I thought if I didn’t get it done I’d never get round to doing it in time. I think you can adapt it pretty well for little ‘uns to do. :) hope so, anyway!

hope Tom has a great birthday. not long before school is done for the summer now!

    lots of love xxxx

Hello! :) glad you had a good day. Yes, it’s a shame for anyone plotting a BBQ, well, we had our own troubles a few weeks ago for the very same reason. :)

As for the weddings in June. It is a pity if a bride gets rained on, I worry for their frocks and do feel sorry for them if they had a marquee sorted for the do. For me though, it really wouldn’t have bothered me one jot. If the weather had worried me at all, I wouldn’t have chosen to get married in December. Chances were it would pour. As it turned out it was cold, but light and sunny. I was gutted, I was hoping for a sprinkle of snow! rain would have been fine too! :) It was good for the photos though, as we married at 2.30, so the photos had to be taken quickly, before the light disappeared.

ooh, missing the village show on BBC1, I am addicted to it. so many people obsessed with growing shallots! xxxx
